I propose to make it snow in Philadelphia. In April. Again. I started the process by servicing my Ariens 11hp snow-thrower. Cleaned it up, changed oil, new plug. But I needed to empty the gas tank. The fuel shut-off on Ariens machines is incredibly flimsy and cheap; turn it with pliers and it is guaranteed to break off, spilling gasoline all over. So I got this siphon. Hooked up the two orange hoses and pumped a half-gallon out in minutes.
Minor quibble: no instructions, nor a picture of the pump assembled. I stared at the black hoses for a while trying to figure out what they did, and if I needed 'em. Then went to Toutube and watched the video. Still have no idea what black hoses are for.
Price is very competitive.
This pump worked perfectly. It only pumps about a shot glass of trans oil at a time, but it works. Some folks were giving it 1 star and a really nasty review over dumb stuff like no instructions, or it leaks. You have to make good connections and have man hands, not just set the hose in there and start pumping, shove it in all the way and shove the plastic cones down over the hoses. I almost didnt buy it over some bad reviews, im glad i gave it a shot. I have used it multiple times and it works just fine. I mean c'mon it a 9 dollar hand pump, why take the time to bash it for not pumping 100 gallons a minute lmao. It works, thats all that matters. The same folks that give it a bad review are the ones that need "caution hot coffee" on their McDonald's cup of coffee. Complainers.
Was looking for a siphon to drain gas from my snow blower in the spring so the carb is dry. This works well but you have to play with it to determine which is suction versus discharge as it is not marked nor are there any instructions. I marked top suction + bottom discharge with a Sharpie for future reference. One detail is to slip the black rubber boots over the orange hoses + push into the pump, this seals the hoses to the pump better so you don't get leaks at the juncture. Overall 5 stars as it works well + the price is right!
This item worked better than expected. Came with several accessories to help making it easier to connecting it to other hoses in my vehicle. It works great as a siphoning tool as well...I was able to pump the fluid out, and the rest came out without the need to keep pumping. Overall, I'm VERY happy with this item.
I was able to siphon my power steering fluid, coolant, etc from my vehicle with it easily. The hose is very flexible, so it fit into smaller holes as well. Just be sure to clean it well with soap/water after use so the fluids don't corrode the internal mechanisms.
Used this to pump gas out of my boat - worked great. I have a 250 gallon tank and wanted to get the gas at the bottom out. The tube that comes with the pump was long enough to fit through the sending unit hole and reach the bottom of the tank, but it was so light weight it floated. I attached a sinker to the end and it went right to the bottom of the tank. Worked great.

Works perfectly. Way better than a regular siphon. The pump pulls out all the water. I had a dishwasher that was not draining all the water. Because it was happening off and on, wanted something to remove the water vs. fixing. Was using a large bowl to scoop it out but it was taking too long. Bought this and it worked as described. Placed one end in the dishwasher and pumped it all out really fast. And, it could get into all the corners and remove all the water. Great buy!
I've used these lots of times. IT'S NOT AN INDUSTRIAL PUMP!!! It's a simple, plastic hand pump and will only last a dozen times or so depending on what you are trying to transfer. I use it to put water into my Christmas Trees without making a mess. You can buy these on sale at Harbor Freight for $6. It isn't really worth more, but Amazon has them conveniently so they get the extra $$$ because I didn't have to drive anywhere. Good on them :)
My husband used this to change my transmission fluid in my 2012 Camaro. Worked like a charm. A little difficult to pump at first, but got easier as he went along. Tubes were the perfect length as well. A fair word of warning; this does not come with directions. If you have common sense you'll know how to use it. If not, YouTube a "how to" video. Would purchase this again and would recommend to others.

Works very well, comes with a few great attachments, not that I will use any of them... but since they come with them that is just a bonus. For the price I paid for it, I'm very pleased with its function...

There is no way to slowly move the liquid, its large volume or nothing.
