As a retired electronics repair tech I was a little hesitant on buying this meter. I have a couple high end meters but wanted one for bench in garage.
I was completely surprised by this meter for the price. It reads as accurate as my Fluke. I tested all levels and settings on meter and everything is accurate.
The rotary switch has nice feel to it that it drops into detent for each setting securely.
The lighted display is a very nice feature and display in general is easy to read.
The meter has a hold feature which is always handy when troubleshooting.
The tone for continuity is easily heard.
The leads have nice points for solid probing. The leads also have plenty of length.
This meter would be perfect for basic troubleshooting and great for diy home owners.
It's hard to believe how inexpensive this meter is. I have a few other more expensive meters, and all I can say is this thing is worth a lot more than the price. It seems much better made than I expected. I actually ordered a second one. It uses a 9 volt battery which is a plus, as the AA powered meters never do as well on resistance reading. The probes (wires) that come with it are of a higher quality than the probes that came with a more expensive meter I have. A+ value, for sure.
Easy to use. Small so it fits in the tool box. Has all the basic features. (I don't need auto-ranging). You basic multimeter.
Simple and easy
This is a nice compact multi-meter that I can take around in my truck for emergency purposes. You can also test fuses with it. I had another voltmeter but I find myself using the AstroAl model more often as it's easier to bring along. Even with it's smaller size than my other voltmeter, this one is more accurate and offers all the functions that my original voltmeter has. I highly recommend it as well as all the AstroAl products that I have purchased as they make quality products.

Note:
1. When the Meter is working at an effective voltage over 60V in DC or 30V rms in AC, special care should be taken because there is a danger of electric shock.
2. Before using the Meter, inspect the exterior casing. Do not use the Meter if it is damaged or if all or part of the exterior casing is removed. Look for cracks or missing plastic. Pay special attention to the insulation around the connectors.
3. If you have mistakenly connected the red test lead to the 500mA selection, then used this meter to test larger current(like 10A) or higher voltage, it might probably burn out the wires even the meter.
