Wine Spectator

If you love wine, this magazine will make some excellent suggestions will also provide you with some ratings so you know what year vintage of your favorite wine you should buy. They also include articles on the wine making process, the wine regions, wine pairings, restaurants and food.

I started purchasing this subscription as a Christmas gift for my brother-in-law several years ago, and he always asks for it again! Seriously, I've offered to buy him all kinds of other cool Christmas gifts and he always wants his Wine Spectator subscription.

Personally, I'm not a big wine person, so I can't speak to the quality of the content, but I can tell you that my brother-in-law is a MAJOR wine snob and absolutely loves this. Definitely recommend this as a gift for the wine-o in your life!

I purchased a one-year subscription for my husband Christmas 2013 because he had casually mentioned that he'd like it. He absolutely loves the magazine and eagerly waits for the monthly delivery. He loves to try the featured wines and pairings! One of our favorites is fresh oysters with champagne. Needless to say, a subscription for 2015 was in his stocking this year!

My favorite wine magazine. If I get my hands on (or my taste buds) a wine rated by several sources, my taste seems to agree with Winespectator the best. I wish subscription to the magazine comes with free online access as well.

Have always appreciated the wine articles and reviews of my favorite beaverage. Plus the food pairings too

    Description

WINE SPECTATOR is edited for people who enjoy fine dining and wine, cooking and entertaining, world travel and the arts. The magazine features current news, personality profiles, wine and food articles as well as pieces on entertainment and travel.

Though the magazine covers the industry well I have found that it lacks coverage of 'club' wineries. There are some and in fact some clubs have are in the top 100 wineries of 2018, Sleight of Hand I know of many more that are not cited.

Great if you're really into making wine a part of you're lifestyle. Uabashingly focused toward american readers and those who are familiar with Robert Parker ratings. If you prefer a Eurocentric view, get Decanter magazine only on ipad. Still good for education though.

Purchased this as a gift for my nephew and he is educating himself on wines.
