The frame feels a bit flimsy, but so far, so good. In my experience with other brands, the "screen" always cracks before the frame so I'm not too worried about the frame on this one. The string is nice and long, which is a plus - some boards have short strings which can make holding the "pen" awkward and tight when you're drawing on the far side.
Bought this for my toddler to replace a tiny one she has. This drawing board is great I love the different colors! Also love that it doesn't come with magnet stamps for her to lose/swallow. Highly recommended, well worth the price!
My son has special needs and even though he's 18 years old he has used this toy for years. He takes it with him to church and in the car so we've gone through a number of these. What I have found is that part that really matters is the board itself, not the plastic frame and as the fisher price version keeps getting more and more expensive the board doesn't last any longer than it ever did. I love this one and so does he. The plastic frame feels a little flimsy but the board itself works beautifully, it is his first time to have a color one and he has enjoyed using it. Highly recommend this product.
This is the second one we have ordered from the "little painter" brand. The other one was orange. It lasted about a year. Our almost 2 year old loves it so much, but often steps on it, which does ruin the screen & make it hard to slide the eraser. Even with all that, it holds up pretty well. That's why we have purchased the same one again. It's about as good of quality as these magnadoodles get. We also like the different colors on the screen, and like that it has the alphabet around the edges. My son is a big fan.
The color factor is fun, but this is also just a better Doodle Board from an engineering standpoint. Writes very clearly, with no "fuzzy edges" on the drawing. Love it!

My 3yr old autistic daughter loves to draw and color. These make my life a lot easier and cleaner. We love he different colors on the board. It’s perfect for little kids.
I love to use this to teach Alphabet and numbers, reusable and has different colors. The materials are not cheap. I chose this over the one with magnetic stamps because I figure the stamps will end up missing after a while like all other small toys anyway.
I got this for my son for Christmas and he loves it! It is pretty large which is a good thing! The only complaint I have is the pen thing came off of the string within a few days so keeping up with that is now a bit of a hassle since my son is only 2.
So far so good. Purchased for Christmas as our old classic magna-doodle had turned black on most of the screen. The plastic frame is a little flimsy, but otherwise holding up great, has tolerated by 20 month old banging on it!
Bought for our 1.5 year old grandchild. She loves it - both doodling and erasing. I knocked off one star because the frame should be made of slightly thicker, i.e., stronger plastic.
