Love it!! This thing has been a totally life saver this summer. I have a gravel driveway and it's handled it fine. But it doesn't do well in deeper gravel or rougher terrain. That being said, I attended a music festival with it and even limped it down the beach... Still beats crutches by a long shot. The basket is a fantastic addition, really helps a lot with shopping and just carrying items around the house. I'm only 5'3" and it works great for me. It's the tippiest when turning so take your time. I was rushing and just about fell over one day. But it does come with an extra "training" whee you can attach to the back to help. I also followed other's recommendations and bought a thicker pad for over the knee rest. Assembly was easy, even for someone like me who is not the least mechanically inclined or owned a bike or anything of the sort for 20 years. Worth every penny.
Unpacking:
They ship this thing in a very heavy cardboard box. It's very heavy cardboard, plus some plastic pieces to protect against shifting. Then there are a gazillion zip-ties holding foam to protect during shipment. These people went totally anal and overboard making sure it got there in good shape. I respect that.
Now, do not try to assemble this thing if you are the user, unless it is prior to your surgery/need. I'm an able-bodied, early 60's, mechanical engineer, and it went fine, but with some challenges. It would have been totally terrible if I'd had to try it with my foot in a cast/boot. Get real. Buy it early and put it together anticipating your return from surgery. Or, if it jumps up on you (injury), have a friend put it together.
Assembly took maybe 15 minutes. I followed all the generic rules - I read the entire manual before starting, verified the parts, verified the tools. Oh yes, KneeRover sent all the tools needed and the parts required were all there. The tools were a welcome surprise - good job KneeRover.
My wife is 5'4" tall, with longish legs for her height. The leg cushion is one stop down from the top-most position. I'll guess someone over 5'8" will want the full-sized version.
As an engineer, I'm happy with the product. After 1 day's use, I plan on re-tightening all the bolts. I will repeat that at one week, one month, and every month afterward. People that don't do that end up writing negative reviews and blaming the manufacturer. Not fair. Pretty happy with this product. The instructions for assembly made good sense and the product seems robust.
I borrowed someone else’s regular KneeRover for a few weeks before deciding I needed something more stable. This one fit the bill. I can go over bumps in the sidewalk, doorstops, and uneven spots in the yard w/o problem. I can also shift my weight and reach pretty far forward and side to side without worrying about it tipping. It’s lightweight enough to lift into the car or over something pretty easily.
The only reasons I’m not giving it 5 stars are because (1) the basket is too small for me (I changed it out for a bike basket); (2) the seat is pretty uncomfortable (IMO) w/o a soft cover on it; and (3) the bolts that hold the front wheels on stick out about an inch, maybe more, past the outside of the wheels. I’ve bruised and scratched my ankle more than a few times, and I frequently hit the door frames in our house with them, damaging the wood.
The one I originally borrowed had been used by at least 5 other people before I got it, and this one has held up really well for the 6ish weeks that I’ve had it. I’m planning to sell it when I’m done. I hope to never need one again, but if I did, I’d definitely but this one again.
I've been using this scooter for 4 weeks while I'm non weight bearing for a foot fracture. I am so glad I've been able to have it available during this time. I love the tires, which make for a smooth ride and go over bumps better. HOWEVER, please be aware this scooter can tip and more easily than I would have imagined. I was on slightly slanted concrete and it tipped over, which caused me to injure my knee on the same leg as my foot fracture. There is a 4th wheel that seems to be like a training wheel? I haven't put it on but I probably should. For reference, I am a healthy, mobile 39 yo woman, so I would think this would be an even bigger issue for the elderly. It also has a very poor turning radius, which may be that way a good reason, but when used in tight quarters can get really annoying as you move forward and back to turn around.
The following review is from my wife. This is definitely a handy gadget for someone like me with a broken fibula. It's pretty sturdy, sporty, and I love the color and size. I give it 4 stars because the brakes are extremely difficult (sometimes impossible) to operate. I usually can't lock them (or they voluntarily unlock after a few minutes). They also just don't really work on any surface. I use my left foot to brake and/or hold onto a railing. I suggest the manufacturer improve the system to ensure better safety. Also, as a previous reviewer mentioned, the extra training wheel is useless because it doesn't line up with the floor. It is easy to operate without this.

LOVED this scooter. Lightweight, easy to ride, easy to assemble ( I'm a non-mechanical 60-something gal, and I did it myself. Once I figured out how to master the release clamp for the handlebars, I was even able to fold it up and transport it in my Mazda3 trunk. Definitely use the extra wheel for stabilization, and use common sense when turning. Highly recommend this scooter.
I love this KneeRover Jr and fun Coastal Teal color! I am 5"5" and it works very well with my height. I use it to get to my car, my mailbox, and around my condo complex. I also ordered the extra "sheepskin" cover as you do need more cushion for your knee that is resting on the seat/kneepad. Great product!
I’m small adult (5’2” 117lbs) this fits me perfectly. After having recent ankle surgery, I don’t know what I would do without it, I’m non weight bearing for 12 weeks, it better hold up!
This is a great knee walker love the teal color and the smoothness of the ride. I got one because I love to go outside but this is great indoors too. I have been non weighbearing for over 5 weeks and this has made being mobile so much easier I have been out to walmart and shopping and people smile when they see you. It actually makes recovering from ankle surgery fun definitely better than crutches or walker. Worth the money.
Price was more than I wanted to pay, but the product is great. Very sturdy. Could have a greater turning range, but can see how it would tip over. Love the color. The basket could be a little bigger. The handle release is hard to get to with the basket attached. Overall I am happy with the product.
