Bamboobies Nursing Pads for Breastfeeding | Reusable Breast Pads | Perfect Baby Shower Gifts | 3 Regular and 3 Overnight Pairs

Overall, I am pleased with these nursing pads. Bamboobies were recommended to me with my first baby, but alas, I didn't try them until now. I wish I would have tried them sooner! I like these much better than disposable nursing pads. (I've used Lansinoh and Nuk as well as tried another disposable brand I can't remember). What turned me off to disposables is that I find them itchy and uncomfortable as I have sensitive skin.

At first, the upfront cost may seem frightening. This is what initially kept me from trying these with my first baby. However, if these do work well, as they do for me, then in the long run they will be cheaper than buying box after box of disposables.
(I have 20 pairs - enough to last me two days).

Pros:
+ Soft, absorbent, but not too bulky
+ Good for my sensitive skin - not itchy or uncomfortable like disposables
+ They've not shown through my nursing bras
+ I've had no leaks
+ They stay in place for me
+ Easy to wash - no special care instructions nor special soaps/detergents needed
+ I'm not spending money on something I'll just throw away

Cons:
+ I wish the regular pads came in a round shape rather than only heart shape for better coverage. Not a major issue - just my preference.
+ These pads do end up sticking slightly if there is any breastmilk on my nipple after nursing my baby. Again, not a major issue for me, but worth mentioning.
+ These are advertised as being handmade in Colorado, which is appealing; however, package is labeled as made in China.

I have tried so many kinds/brands of nursing pads, it would make your head spin. These are far and away the absolute best. Just to give you an idea of what they're up against, here's a brief rundown of my experience...

I started with Lansinoh disposables. They're fairly soft, and rarely leaked through. The adhesive is fine during the day, but gets all wonky overnight so I'd end up with squishy wads of padding crumpled up in my bra. Nevertheless, they are my favorite disposable, but who wants that kind of cost and waste?
I also tried the Medela disposables. One word: ick. They are stiff, smelly, the adhesive is a joke, and they don't absorb nearly as much. And again, cost and waste factor is a big negative.

I finally decided to move on to washable pads. I can't recommend this enough -- you'll wonder why you ever bothered with disposables in the first place.

I started with the TLCare pads. Not bad, but awfully small (at least for my bra size!), and just stiff enough that they were slightly visible under my shirt. Decent absorption, only leaked through on a couple overnights. I had started with a 6-pack, though, which I knew wouldn't be enough, and I wasn't quite satisfied with them enough to buy more. So I kept looking.

Next I tried a pack of Mother Ease pads. WAY better than the TL Care -- bigger, softer, far more absorbent. Still visible under my clothes, which was awkward. Never had a leak. I think I could've stayed with these, but then a friend sang the praises of Bamboobies, so I figured I'd try some...

I will never go back to another. Bamboobies, you have won my heart with your amazing little heart-shaped pads. First, they are *remarkably* thin -- so thin that you'd think there's no way this flimsy (soft, cute) little pad is going to sop up all my leaky milk. BUT THEY DO. The leak-proof outer layer is a miracle. The soft inside is so smooth and comfy against my skin. Plus they're heart-shaped, and for any momma living the beautiful but oh-so-NOT-sexy reality of nursing (and the bras and pumping and leaking that go along with it), you'll appreciate the sexy-cute factor of wearing little pink or red or black hearts over your boobies all day. These are not at *all* visible under my clothes (except sometimes the overnight ones, but my husband knows I'm wearing them anyway, so who cares?), and have never leaked. Plus the overnights are bulletproof, I swear. They hold up against even the leakiest nights and still somehow remain soft and comfortable.

These are amazing. AMAZING. Do yourself a favor and try them. Your boobies (and your as-yet-unstained wardrobe) will thank you.

this package arrived with 3 sets of overnight pads and 3 sets of daily pads. The daily pads are thin and do not show under the shirt. The overnight pads are thicker and bigger and does show under your clothing even with a padded bra for daily wear. The material is soft and absorbent and works better than the disposable pads. I had a bad reaction to the disposable pads, causing a lot of itching and discomfort, leading me to believe I had a yeast infection. Once I switched to these, the symptoms went away.

The pads should be put in a small mesh bag to hold them together when washing. I put them in the dryer and notice that sometimes they do not dry all the way and I have to set them out and unroll them to dry all the way , but I only use gentle cycle for wash and dry, which is low heat.

I recommend these pads, although the pricing is on the higher side for nursing pads.

I hate how disposable nursing pads stick to my skin and get gel gunk all over my breasts and bra. Plus, I leak a LOT, so they cost a lot. I wish I had Bamboobies with my first child. I'd tried to make my own, but they weren't very comfortable. Bamboobies are so soft, I barely notice they're there. They also absorb quite a lot, and since they're washable, it doesn't matter how many I go through every day. I've been using these for two months and they still look and feel new. The only con is that I don't like the heart shape. I have to stick it in my bra just right to cover my nipple. I much prefer a round shape

I am breastfeeding my fourth child, and finally decided to try washable nursing pads. Until now I have used disposable pads (I have tried Lansinoh, Medela, Target store brand, and most recently Bamboobies disposable), but found them itchy and didn't like that they are usually visible through fitted clothing. Then twice the adhesive stuck to me instead of my bra (OUCH!) and I decided enough was enough.

My Bamboobies arrived a few days ago (to the great amusement of my husband, who now says "Bamboobies" any chance he can get). I was immediately impressed by how soft and comfortable they are! They are much less bulky and don't show through clothes like some of the disposables. I can't believe it took me this long to try washable pads!

I have had some leaks overnight (with overnight pads). One of them got shifted out of place during a 2am feeding, and I woke up later in a puddle - but this was my fault for not repositioning it properly. Second leak baby slept for an unusually long stretch and the milk was more than the pad could handle - again woke in a puddle, which was disappointing. I am a heavy leaker though, and I suspect it would take a bulky heavy-duty pad to absorb everything. The sleekness and especially the comfort of these Bamboobies are worth the occasional leak, to me.

Breastfeeding can be hard, especially when you're first getting started. The last thing you need is dealing with embarrassing milk leaks all over your top. These nursing pads are great! Very soft and comfortable, and much gentler on sensitive skin than the harsh itchy disposable pads. I don't have to make any adjustments during the day, as they don't bunch up in weird spots or shift when you change positions. They're also easy to clean; I just put mine in a mesh garment bag on the gentle cycle and they come out looking good as new.

These are pricey but GREAT. Worth the cost. I overproduced for the first 6 weeks of postpartum life, and these did a very very good job of holding everything in. Eventually they get full and I will leak, but it takes just about 6 hours for that to happen (the overnight ones), and I leak a LOT. They're very soft and nice to your nipples in those early weeks when you may be feeling a bit sensitive. The Bamboobies nipple cream helped me a ton!
Only thing I will say; you're really going to need more than one package unless you want throw a wash in every day. I have three packs total because there just were not enough per package. This way when I do laundry twice a week I have an abundance of them. They stay hidden pretty well under a bra. Even under a nursing tank without padding the heart ones are pretty discreet.
Put them on your registry; you are not going to want to think about not having clean breast pads when your baby is up and crying at you at 3am because you've run out. Trust me.

Incredibly soft!

I started out with a few different types of disposable pads, and they were all fine, but my poor nipples were so sore for the longest time that all I wanted was something softer. Then I tried Bamboobies disposable pads, and they're incredibly soft, but I hate all the packaging trash and the crease from being folded in the box takes hours to go away.

Finally, I gave in and decided to buy Bamboobies washable pads, and I love them! They are amazingly soft (though a little less so if you just hand wash and air dry them, as opposed to machine). The only leaking issues I have had were a couple times first thing in the morning when I was nursing my son on one side and the other side would just pour out milk. I started collecting the milk from that side in a bottle, typically getting over an ounce in less than 10 minutes nursing, so no wonder even the thick, overnight pad leaked!

The thin day-time pads are so thin and comfortable I forget they are there. They are easy to either tuck up in my bra or remove while pumping at work, stay in place (unless I'm jumping around a lot, which I do sometimes as a preschool teacher), and only rarely show through my shirt a bit if both the shirt and bra are thin. I ordered a second package of these so I don't have to hand wash them as often (what working, nursing mom has time for that? Plus, they don't dry as soft). The heart shape does a pretty good job preventing wrinkles and whatnot, even for my small boobs, plus it really is nice to have something cute and fun tucked into your bra.

The overnight pads are quite thick and bulky. They don't look super sexy, but they absolutely serve their purpose and are comfortable. I think these would be totally adequate for all but the very heaviest leaking (like a full-force flow while nursing a baby who slept 9 hours straight).

Bamboobies may not be the very cheapest nursing pad out there, but I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Quality and softness matter.

I wanted to love these but they are just ok. They are very soft so a pro but cons are the heart shaped ones curl up after washing and don’t hold much liquid. Thankfully I don’t soak through pads but if I did the hearts would leak. I even leaked out of the overnight wearing it during the day when I was oversupplying.

The softness helps when nipples are sore, but for the price I wouldn’t buy these again. I invested in my other brand Kindred Bravely that hold way more before leaking. The whole pad has to be soaked to leak with those.

I am currently nursing my third baby. These are the best pads I have ever used! With my first, I used only medela and lansinoh disposables because I didn't know anything else. They worked great for my heavy leaking, but we're so uncomfortable! I tried of brand reusable pads with my second because I received a sample and really liked them, but I hated washing them (I did it in the machine because I honestly never thought to hand wash and air dry). So, I stuck with the uncomfortable disposables. With my third, I asked around and people really highly recommended this brand but didn't say which ones. So, I got the disposables. Again, they were really uncomfortable for long term use. I decided to go ahead and spend the money and try these and I'm so glad I did! They work great (now that in a little over a month in and leaking is a little lighter) and they are pretty comfortable. I often even forget they are there. I will say, even the overnight ones wouldn't have cut it with the heavy leaking I have at the beginning. They are also fairly large, so they are difficult to use under lower cut shirts. They also don't have any adhesive do you can't keep them in place without a bra out shelf bra. However, I highly recommend these pads! I also briefly tried nuk brand pads (both reusable and disposable) and donated them after one use... Total waste of money.
