Open the package, shake this coat, put it on a hanger, and it fluffs beautifully--comparable to far more expensive coats. It's lightweight yet warm on cold windy days. The elastic at the wrists in the sleeves covers the tops of gloves and adds to its warmth of the coat as well as the warmth of the gloves. The khaki color as labelled is a lovely taupe instead of khaki. I adore this coat. It's perfect for an active 79 year old woman.
I am 5'8" and 140 lbs and usually wear a medium or large, depending on fit. I ignored other reviews that suggested to go 2 sizes up and ordered a large. It fits well, though is looser in the waist than i expected from other reviews. I'll definitely be able to wear a layer or two under it, which is great for me. It does have an unpleasant smell, as I read about in other reviews. It's a smell I associate with down, but unfortunately is a little too strong to ignore. I still plan to keep the coat, but wish the smell was not a factor, as it will be bothersome unless it fades.
This was a 19$ jacket, I was not expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised in the quality of it. I ordered a size 18 (2XL) after reading reviews that said to size up at least two sizes. I am typically a medium/large in tops and a 10/12 in pants. This jack is a little big on me but I love it anyway. I am 5’5 and it hits me below my knees, and the arm length is perfect. Because it is bigger I will be able to layer under and still be really comfortable. This jacket is WARM, I’m from New England, so we have very chilly winters and I have already broken it out twice this week due to impending snow. This jacket kept me warm, dry and comfortable! I honestly can’t say enough about how great of a steal this jacket was! I will update with pictures and more to come as I wear it more!
OK, I absolutely have to take the time to leave this review, because some of the reviews I read were not very good. I actually ordered two of this coat. Approximately a month apart. I love them! The fit was pretty much as it expected and it is very lightweight which is going to be great for travel. If they had had the turquoise one I would have made it Three. I am completely happy with this purchase. Or should I say, these purchases.
This jacket is somewhat large (so I recommend you buy one size smaller) I bought a medium and I am about 5”6 and the medium comes down to my knees - which I actually like because living in a frozen tundra my thighs get pretty cold. Also, it’s very stylish and the pockets are deep. I have a big clutch that I carry around, my glasses, my wallet and some makeup all fit into it and you can’t even tell there’s anything inside. I bought the black one, which matches almost any outfit and is probably the warmest (you know, when the sun actually shines over the frozen wasteland of my home). All in all, I recommend it. I like the long-ish-ness of it but if you don’t want it hanging down to your knees then I’d go one size smaller. It should still fit well around your arms, waist and chest.

Washing Suggestion
1. Hand wash: Soak your down jacket for up to 60 minutes. Use a down-specific soap or detergent, no fabric softener. Squeeze out excess water gently, don't wing, shake gently, as wet down is heavy enough to damage fabric.
2. Drying: Allow down-jacket to drip-dry before tumble-dry thoroughly on low heat until you cann't feel any clumps of down. Excessive heat might damage down oils.
3. Storage: Ensure your down jacket is dry before using or storing. Don't store your jacket in a stuff sac.
I ordered a medium because everyone had been saying it runs small. It is a little big on me, but the bungee string cinches the coat at the waist, making it flattering. I'll also be able to fit a thick sweater under it, which will make it more versatile when it gets really cold. It's been shedding a few feathers, but not a lot.
This coat is very very light. It keeps me warm with several light layers underneath down to around 39-40 Fahrenheit. I’m comfortable down to 30 degrees adding a thick wool sweater, (and hat and gloves and scarf of course). . The hood is light but I added detachable fur and that warmed it up. However, below 30 degrees the cold starts to knife right through it, no matter what, since it’s just thin material. I’m 5’6 and 164 lbs with average proportions and am often “cold” . I bought an XX large and it’s roomy but that’s fine. I normally wear a “large” in US sizes and occasionally a “medium”. The roominess of the XX large will work on the trip I’m taking because I always need to carry gloves and an umbrella in my pockets and sometimes other stuff. That doesn’t work if my coat fits more tightly. The pockets sadly have no zippers though. It’s made in China, hence order at least one size up. As I said I ordered two up and it’s loose. It’s a boxy fit, not really form fitting so kind of clunky looking rather than svelte. But with my bulging pockets I’ve got to choose practicality. If it gets below 30 on my trip I plan to wear it as a “layer” unbuttoned underneath my also boxy light spring black coat. I tried that and the two layers kept me warm below 30 and didn’t look strange. That was due to my spring coat hiding it completely and they are both black so they blend together. I may bring pins to pin it into my Spring coat if the temps stay below 32 for a while on the trip so it really will just look like a “liner” when I take it off. It’s a challenge packing Winter to Spring with a carry on bag! If you’re not dealing with below 40 weather it’s perfect and should be fine up to 60 degrees too, since it’s so super light and down oddly “adjusts”. . It must do that on the birds too :-) .
I live in a mostly warm to hot climate, but travel for work to places that are not. Layers can only help so much, and I’ve needed a decent coat that is also easy to travel with. Finally, this coat has the features I’ve been looking for: warm, light, packable, fitted waist, longer length, long enough sleeves, all-weather, good pockets.
This hooded down coat is your perfect year round raincoat. I ordered this coat because I like the color and that it has a hood. It fits great and the 2 side pockets are just right for shopping trips and running errands. I actually decided to purchase a much bigger size because it layers amazingly well! It is also quick and easy to clean, packs and travels along wherever you go! This hooded coat is a must-have so I totally recommend it.
The Wantdo Women's Hooded Packable Ultra Light Weight Hooded Jacket fit perfect. I'm 5'7" and I'm 140lbs. It fit a perfect medium. The jacket is very light but surprisingly warm because of the down filling. I plan on buying another that only goes to my waist. This one goes almost to my knees. I love it!!
