Dixon Valve & Coupling PHW Plated Iron Fire Equipment, 5 Hole Hydrant Wrench, 14-1/4

Great value. We purchased 14 for our community fireboxes. These were made of cast iron rather than aluminum which has no recycle value. We believe the previous wrench were stolen for the recycle value of the aluminum.

It may be cast iron or forged steel (we are debating, but cast iron is winning 3 to 5).

Works like a charm on local California hydrants. I thought all were 5-point valves until I saw other reviews saying this did not fit. The hook/spanner end works great to loosen tight hose fittings.

No complaints since all the other hydrant wrenches cost double the price.

This spanner is a life saver. Very sturdy but not too heavy. Fits on our hydrants and the extra length makes getting stubborn fire hose connections broken apart.

I use this for day-to-day opening of hydrant valves and tightening of hydrant fittings. Does exactly what I need it to do. The unit is plenty strong and doesn't seem to be fragile in any way. Finish could be a little better but I don't really care and wouldn't pay more for something with a smoother handle.

It's good. Is not that long
