Forbes

I am dissatisfied in one sense only, but it’s a big one for me, which I wish you would pass along to Forbes: I was originally drawn to Forbes, several years ago, by the columns of Ken Fisher on stock investing. Then, secondly, by similar columns by other investors. I have enjoyed many other aspects, but they have always been secondary for me.
Now, Fisher’s column is gone, nothing has replaced it, and it’s rare to find even 1 column on stock investing and the few there are often seem to cover more arcane or exotic investments which hold limited appeal for a “small fry” investor like me.

Have been subscribed for the last year and really like this magazine. I like to think I understand the basics of economics but thoroughly enjoy how this magazine is for all readers. There are many interesting articles in each issue over a wide variety of topics including pop culture econ. Think all 20-30s should read this magazine to set themselves up for financial success and retirement.

I purchased this subscription as a Christmas gift for my son. The first issue arrived on time and he says he loves the articles. It’s a keeper. I’ll probably renew the subscription next year if he still likes it.

UPDATE - the subscription stopped after one delivery. I contacted Amazon and they said they would make sure the subscription was started up again. Nope, didn’t happen. They refunded my money and I went straight to the Forbes website and purchased a years subscription and all is well.

FORBES is printed around the world and in the USA -and it carries information that is verified - no paid advertisement type "stories", it's pure facts but when you want the honest truth of what's going on financially in the world- turn to FORBES as I have for years. I didn't have a subscription for some time due to other calls on my time and I'd catch an issue here and there but never could seem to throw them away after finishing them and they always had parts I had underlined, parts I had clipped out etc - so was unsure if this online edition would be the same, but it is working out fine for me, I can clip and copy whole stories and read them then or later from my hard drive copy. Great magazine- and *easy* to read as well. (which I assume they do for Republicans)….

We have subscribed to Forbes for many years. We really don't like the changes made a couple of years ago, when many of the columnists were eliminated, and the focus became stories about successful business people. Not bad, just not what we were looking for.

    Description

Forbes focuses on top management and those aspiring to positions of corporate leadership in business. This insider publication features information on successful companies and individuals, industries, marketing, law, taxes, technology, computers, communications, investments, management performance

I like this magazine. Their stock information is very helpful. I like Mr. Forbes articles but I wish they would provide input from a liberal and independent political party view in lieu of just having Mr. Forbes republican point of view. Although Mr. Forbes view does make sense, I would like to hear all parties views on how the president is effecting our financial situation, does China need to open up their trade more rather than hording gold, etc, etc. My magazine choices Forbes, Sunset and Discovery. I don't subscribe to Discovery but should.

The top 4 biz mags in rank order from my perspective are the new Bloomberg BW, Forbes, Economist, and Fortune.

Forbes is fringier in its offerings. Forbes delivers a variety of unique perspectives not found elsewhere and is kind of like a monthly WSJ in editorials and opinion. Of the top four I referenced, Fortune vs Forbes is perhaps the most commonly considered in competition. The winner is a no-brainer - I'll reach for Forbes over Fortune every time.

Amazon has come far in its mag offerings from a pricing standpoint. The subscription manager service that Amazon offers resolves expirations and earlier renewal phishing expeditions by publishers.

Consistently well rounded publication on business, economics and fun business related topics. Interesting review of current and up and coming people, businesses and countries. Good discussions on interrelationships between topics. The totally odd is thrown in occasionally to keep the reader off guard in a good way.

I’ve read two of these and haven’t gotten rich yet.

In all seriousness, it’s a good magazine that will give you some helping financial tips while entertaining you with the stories of people who will always have more money than me. It just doesn’t have a structured delivery day. One month I got it at the beginning and the next I got it at the end of the month.

I read this magazine for leaderships of companies before I invest stocks. It is important to invest stocks with good leaders and the articles are educational and also warned the investers of companies that are failing or going out of business. I recommended this magazine for anyone who wishes to know the innovative leaders and their companies.
