Soft, warm, and comfortable.
This is a class act. First of all - it is simply gorgeous. The colors a rich, the blue tones are unusual in that they are bright, yet somewhat muted (not "in-your-face-blue) and are complemented well by the subtle geometry of the pattern. Second, this is truly a "Queen Size" comfortable. Unlike most Full/Queens which barely cover the Queen mattress, this comforter does not require a bed skirt (despite the misgivings expressed by another reviewer). True, I have placed this in a guest bedroom, so I did not need as perfectly finished a look as I would like in the master bedroom, but the mattress/bos spring is completely covered and again - this comforter is beautiful.
Third this Lacoste comforter is very well constructed. It is well sewn, and while the inner insulation is not baffled (that would have completely altered the uniform appearance of this beautiful piece) I did tug at it a bit and nothing shifted. Always a good sign!
Fourth, and most important - this comforter is warm. Very warm and "comfy"! I live in New England and received this comfortable during a week during which the night time temperatures dropped to -5 degrees. I keep my house at 58-60 degrees at night, yet I was warm and toasty under this comforter, and felt good knowing that out of town guests would be staying in the guest room later in the week.
The icing on the cake were the two matching pillow shams/cases that were included with the comforter, providing an integrated set on top of the light solid colored sheets (not included) that I had placed on the bed.
Truly - I couldn't be more pleased! (Again - this comforter is more gorgeous than it appears in the photos! If you like the pattern - go for it!)
Stay warm!
I got this for my son's room (he's in college but lives here on winter and summer breaks). I got it because he loathes having a duvet / duvet cover-- he hates how the duvets slide around inside the cover. He wanted a comforter instead and this one is perfect - it's masculine for him, it's a one piece comforter, it's warm, it's washable, it's well-made, and it's soft.
PROS:
+ Really well made. It has piping on the seams to protect them. It can stand up to a 21 yo man.
+ Really good looking, with a masculine touch.
+ Warm and soft.
+ Machine washable, one-piece comforter (not a separate duvet and cover); easy to manage and care for.
BOTTOM LINE: A quality comforter, should last a long time, and looks great too!
Pretty much any Lacoste product I've bought has been top quality fabric, feels expensive, and is very comfortable. This comforter is no exception. The colours are bright and vibrant, and look great on my bed. When it's all fluffed up, and fat on top of the bed, it looks so inviting to just slip under the sheets. I don't know what I'm going to do in the summer when it's no longer feasible to use a heavy duty comforter to sleep under, but I'll be sorely tempted to blast the a/c, and snuggle under.
I'd say this is a medium weight comforter. It's not light as air like those garbage ones you get for $20 at the discount store. The fabric feels solid, and the fill is plump. When I consider the amount of money I've wasted on inferior quality bedding before this, I realise why the good stuff costs what it does. This winter has been rough, but I've managed quite nicely with a space heater and this guy on top of me when I get to sleep.
Honestly, for what you get, the price is justified.
This comforter set is lovely and looks much more attractive in person. The padding is nice and it does not lay flat but has nice volume and is also very soft. The size is perfect and with my queen size bed I can fold down the top a little for a decorative look and it still has a good bit of length to hang over the base of the bed. There is a good foot that hangs over both sides. What I like the most is it is also a truly quality comforter in that it provides a lot of warmth and can take the place of a blanket if need be. It is winter now but I think it will be a nice touch in the spring as well on those nights that are cool. But I highly recommend this real high quality comforter. As others have stated it would be nice since it is sold here on Amazon to be able to buy the other accessories here as well. Luckily I had some throw pillows that match already.

Description
A colorblocked mix of vertical stripes in fresh shades of navy, blue and white will bring a modern style to any bedroom with Lacoste's Meribel bedding set.
This is a beautiful comforter, and looks even nicer in person. I love stripes, and the pattern on this comforter is one of my favorites. The outer shell is 100% cotton, (with a polyester fill) and is very soft to the touch and filled adequately (so that it does not have that "flat" look). Also, the queen-size measures 92"x96", which is the upper end of most queen-size comforters.
As a side note, I have not washed/dry cleaned this comforter, so I'm not sure if the filling will migrate or not. The filling is not sewn into sections to hold it in place (which might be an issue). I will come back and update this review after I have washed the comforter.
If only I could find this exact comforter in a maroon/gold/olive color.
This Lacoste comforter looks nice in person. I like that the design isn’t too boring but isn’t also too in your face and wild. The different stripes and large blue panel provide a nice amount of visual interest and also make it easy to match to most rooms, if you’re the type to worry about matching.
I have the comforter on a double bed and it nearly hangs to the floor on each side and at the foot of the bed. It seems warm and well-made. It’s not quilted; I haven’t washed it so I don’t know if the inner fill will shift after washing.
I’m not a fan of the pillowcases. They’re a tad small (though the pillows do fit) and don’t quite match. The logo is in different places on each pillowcase, which seems odd to me.
We couldn't be more pleased with this comforter. We have it on a Queen bed and no skirt is required; it fully covers the box spring -- might be a tad big on a Full.
The design is interesting without being too bold and the blue is saturated, but not overly bright. The fill is well distributed and, after several weeks of use, shows no propensity for piling. It's also quite warm, even with the thermostat set in the low 60's.
Very pleased with the construction, design and comfort. Very happy to recommend -- if you like the pattern and blue works with your decor, you won't be disappointed.
Very heavy, Poofy, Item looks pretty good. Comes with two standard shams. Wish they were larger to fit larger pillows. The shams are actually the strange thing about this set. the Lacost fox logo is on different portions of the shams, not matching. So there is one on the top corner and the other sham has it in a bottom corner. So the shams actually don't match. It was very wrinkled and I am having a little trouble getting them out, but the fabric itself feels nice and silky. Also wish it was a tad longer in length so it came down on the end more and/or be able to neatly tuck the sleeping pillows under the quilt.
Lacoste Meribel Blue and Grey Colorblock Striped Brushed Twill Comforter Set, Full/Queen is such a great quality product. The comforter was too large for my washer so I took it to the laundromat and washed and dried it before putting it on the bed. The shams I washed in my own washer. I was wondering how it would come out of the dryer. I can say that it did not bunch up and came out looking great. The one thing to note is that you want to get it out while its still warm so you can shake it and keep it from wrinkling. Once you put it on the bed just smooth it out and it looks and feels wonderful. Great product!!!
