Bought these to drill 20mm holes in a 1/4” steel plate. I couldn’t find the right size at local big box hardware stores. So, decided to order from amazon. For the relatively low price, I figured these would be good for one or two uses. Much to my surprise, the bits stay sharp after a few uses. I’d say they work as well as the name brands you get from local hw stores. The key is to go slow and take breaks, so to allow the bit to cool off. Also, apply some cutting oil or similar (I used liquid wrench) to the bit when taking breaks. For the 1/4” steel plate, it took maybe 8-10 mins and I stopped prob 5 times.
I needed these to cut a hole in a pinball cabinet. The wood was very thick, and I couldn't understand why it was only cutting through part of the way. Duuuh!
I realized I had to remove the accumulated material from inside the blade. Once I figured this out, the rest was easily done.
Very sharp blades that cut very clean and accurate holes.
Nice set with sharp durable bits, I will warn the prospective customer than they are a very shallow bit so if you're drilling through anything thicker than 1/4" or so your have to back the drill out, chisel out what you've cut through and repeat until you get through.
I didn't realize this before I bought them but it worked fine for what I needed using this method.
I purchased to drill a 30mm hole in a 4x4 steel post to install a new gate switch. The post wall is 1/4 inch thick steel and the 30mm bit (and pilot bit) cut through easily using a 1/2in angle drill at low speed and 3-in-1 oil. The bit was in good condition afterwards.
I needed a good hole saw to cut some holes through the steel panels of my shop to run electrical wire to the outside. I barely had time to pull the trigger on my drill and it was already through the steel panel. For a relatively inexpensive item I will not use often, these worked great.

Not the highest quality of professional hole saws but still pretty good. As an electrician I have been cutting holes in this metals to hang fixtures and they cut very well in this application. Did have one pilot bit break but had the bits from the other ones and swapped it. Can't argue with the price so overall it was a good purchase.
I used the largest one to cut 12 holes in steel drums to make burn barrels vents. I used lube to cool and still after about 9 holes it got too dull to use and went down a size and filed the last holes a bit. For the price they can almost be considered disposable. I am buying another set while a "Today's Deal".
Came in the solid box and further in an individual package for each bit. Length is short but smaterial solid and sharp enough to hole. Good for small projects.
I ordered these for workshop to use on various types of metal. He has used two of the on different projects and they worked fantastically. The metal is not very thick and these bits got the job done great. Would definitely recommend for work with thin gauge metal.
I bought this for my woodworking project which I need to drill a few 20mm holes. Instead of using regular drill bits to expand the hole a little by little, I bought these bits. They are great quality and working like a charm for drilling holes.
