I had this case for over a week now and I'm really enjoying it! It's rugged, stylish and functional. Here's a quick list of the main features I like/dislike maybe:
-Complete & stylish protection.
-Not too heavy/light, just the right feel.
-One of the best kickstands in cases of its class.
-Perfect fit and all cutouts are perfectly aligned.
-Stylish and very function leather strap, and the rotating wheel is very sturdy at (45,, 90, 180 360 degrees rotation).

This is where I have some mixed feelings and hence the 4 stars. Although others may like this feature, for me, I like the fact of the added screen protection, yet there's this feeling of vacuum or extra space underneath when tapping on the screen. Don't get me wrong, the screen is still very responsive, just like with any other typical screen protector.There's also a reflective color hue to it (only apparent when the iPad is off).
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the case since I was looking for mainly something with the hand strap as I tend to annotate a lot. It's worth the price and I would highly recommended it to anyone.
Prior to my current job I was a RadioShack Market Manager for 8 years. So I know quality accessories when I see them. The outter rubber shell is of durable construction. My 2017 IPad fits tight inside the inner shell, it is not loose, there is no wiggle room. The built in screen protector adheres tight to the ipad display. Leaving no space for debris or issues with response. The leather strap fits the hand well. As you rotate the unit it has locking positions to hold its angle. I have found so many creative ways to lay and hold the ipad without sacrificing use. Yes its bulky, but for good durabilty and drop protection that is necessary. It also adds sufficient weight, which for me is only really noticed when holding the unit at night in bed and typing for long periods. I highly recommend this case. Will be buying at least 1 more as a christmas present.
I'm the kind of person who gets nervous seeing other people use tablets without protective cases. It freaks me out. Those big, flat pieces of glass and overpriced electronics are just waiting to crack and shatter. Gah!
I love this case. I have small chIldren, and this case makes me feel safe using the iPad near them ;) The stand folds out for a perfect (for me) viewing angle, and the rotating stand/handle make it so easy to use one-handed. The leather handle is surprisingly high-quality (I didn't expect this level of craftsmanship, overall, for the price I paid, honestly. I am pleasantly surprised.)
One thing I failed to do is to read the directions... you need to adjust the length/size of the handle before you put the iPad in the case. I didn't, so the handle is a bit bigger than I might have otherwise made it, but it hasn't been a problem at all.
The case DOES turn your iPad into a veritable tank, so if you want something featherweight, this isn't for you. I'm pretty sure my iPad weighs 5lbs now (I'm joking...but it really is heavy).
I have zero problems using headphones, chargers, the home button, with screen responsiveness. Once you get the thing on, everything is easygoing :)
So, read the instructions, prepare for a heavy iPad, and then use your iPad all the time, and without fear :) I have a feeling that customer service would be excellent. In fact, I am writing this review because the owner of the company just sent out a nice email checking in to see if the case was working out, and reminding me that it was still under warranty. That's pretty cool, and it is the kind of thing that will make me buy from the company again, if the need arises.
To be clear, I recommend this case to anyone who wants to protect their iPad against a dangerous world of grabby hands, clumsy holds, accidental drops, and who knows what else...with the benefit of a very functional stand and handle built right in.
Durable! Feel as if this case can withstand the bumps and trials of a 6 yr old! Solid protection. Was a bit cumbersome to put on and very minor adjustments to give it a snug fit. The screen protection is great because now I can rest easy knowing that the entire iPad is covered and protected. Touchscreen through the screen protector is flawless - as if you are working on the original screen itself. All the ports line up flawlessly and the 360 leather strap in the back is an added plus to help hold the iPad. The kickstand is strong durable metal that feels sturdy and will not break from usage. The case does add some bulk and weight to the original slim lightweight feel of the iPad Pro, but then Again it's a comfort to know that your iPad is protected well. A good buy for the price.
I cannot describe how many cases I've tried for my iPad. I like to have the screen savers built into the case, but the biggest issue has been that those always had air bubbles under them and have distorted the view. Why spend all that money on a high resolution iPad only to have the resolution destroyed by the screen protector and case? This installs easily and I have not had on air pocket or bubble. I've even taken it on and off a couple of times just to see if it maintained the ability with out distortion. Each time it installed back on the iPad just like the first day I took it out of the package.
My cat is notorious for knocking objects out of his way and one day I left my iPad sitting on his favorite part of the couch where he likes to sleep. To my dismay I heard my iPad it the hardwood flooring and thought for sure it took some damage somewhere. Nothing, not a nick or scratch to be found and the case wasn't damaged either. This is one case that lives up to its promises. Now if they only made an android phone version???

I really like this case! The rotating handle on the back, the screen and body protection all make me feel more comfortable allowing my kids to play with my iPad. I also like that I can use the plastic stand on the back as a sort of handle. Sometimes I sit with my knees up and balance the iPad on my knees with the stand. When I walk around the house, the leather handle on the back ensures me that I won't drop it. The only problem is that I wish I could get the leather to be tighter to my hand--it's a bit loose. I spent hours looking for an iPad protector, and I'm glad I bought this one, even though it's not as cute as some of the others.
I love this case!! It offers excellent protection for my IPad, and it’s easy to use. I’ve wanted a case with a strap on the back for when I’m giving lectures or reporting during meetings. This case fits seamlessly, and it was relatively easy to put together. It is easiest if you don’t need to remove a case that is already on your iPad, but even with arthritis in my hands I was able to accomplish this in a relatively short period of time. If only this company made the same case for Amazon Fire tables. You need look no further for an excellent case....this is the best you can get.
I bought this iPad case for my 8-year old to offer some protection against drops, and to allow him to prop up the ipad. The first one I got broke pretty shortly after I got it (within a month) - the rear kickstand broke. The second one has been in use for 6 solid months now, and it feels nearly indestructible. Phew! What I love about this case? 1.) It's rugged and really protects the iPad screen. 2.) the kickstand makes it really easy to stand up in either portrait OR landscape mode - that swivel is pretty cool 3.) it's easy to hold with the leather handle on the back, which helps so much to prevent drops. 4.) We figured out what we can slide the handle over the handlebar end on my Peloton exercise bike, and watch TV through the iPad while biking. Ha! Total bonus use. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this case. If this one ever breaks, I will absolutely buy another one. My only negative is that it doesn't some in other colors. But I can suck it up and deal with basic black for all of the protection and functionality that this case provides.
I had a case for a Mini (with a bluetooth keyboard) from New Trent that worked great but had a design defect - very thin hinges that would break from a slight shake. This one does not have hinges and seems to be better designed. the screen protector does not touch the screen, there is a little bit of space/air in between. so working on the screen/typing takes a little bit of getting used to. It all has some blueish tone to it. Again, a non-issue.
Feels very solid and well put together, great overall fit and finish. Genuine leather strap on the back is nice and work great in the field conditions.n The stand, however only work well on solid surfaces. don't try to use it to watch a movie in the bed.
But overall, great product. especially considering Amazon price.
I finally went to the Dark Side and bought my first Apple product, and wanted a solid protective case for my iPad 9.7 2017. This New Trent case didn't disappoint. Love the rotating hand-strap. It allows you to hold the iPad without fear of it slipping and falling like if you were just holding the edge. Also love the metal kickstand - it works in both portrait and landscape, and I think the little tab to pull it out will double to open beer bottles! No problems with the protective screen - all taps and gestures work perfectly. Charger cord fits perfectly, easy access to volume controls, no problems with my earbuds in the headphone jack access, power button works perfectly, and speakers are loud and clear. Easy to put together, just go slow, pay attention, and don't force anything. Only problem was in adjusting the leather hand-strap on the back. The leather has small holes, which fit over some posts (think of them like small round head screws raised about 1/8th inch). Holes were small, post heads were big. I used a small flat-head screwdriver to gently press the leather holes around the posts. Don't let that deter you from buying. Totally worth the few minutes it took to adjust the leather strap to fit my hand.
