It's not bad! I'm typing this review on it. There are several pros:
- It auto shuts off saving battery lift but comes right back on when you click a key, it takes a moment to wake up but it's pretty fast.
- The battery lasts a good long time, ive had this keyboard for 3 weeks and have not yet recharged it once.
- VERY sturdy and protective.
The cons:
- the iPad does not hinge far enough back it only goes back slightly passed 90 degrees, i would prefer to have it fold back a little more.
- the disconnect to remove the iPad from the keyboard is a little fiddily, hard to reattach to the keyboard, but not too bad.
- the clasp that keeps the halves closed is made of rubber I'm a little worried it will break with repeated use.
- the option to make the iPad swivel completely around and fold back is not available.
All in all it's a good product, very sturdy and works very well.
I waited a week for this case to arrive before using my Ipad Pro 12.9 and I am glad I did. This case is designed beautifully and at around $50.00 it is an absolute bargain. The Ipad Pro 12.9 is huge and the case transforms it into a mini laptop. It's constructed very well and when not in use, the blue tooth keyboard protects the screen and keeps everything clean. The keyboard charged very quickly and I have been using it now for hours without a recharge. I love the ability to use the small fold out stand for table top use. I have used a couple of New Trent cases for my older Ipad 2 and Ipad Air 2 and while they were designed a little differently this case is the logical evolution to the big Ipad. Keep up the great work New Trent!
My expectations for the product were far lower than the product I received. This keyboard case is amazing and has so many functions! The charge time is considerably short. The case works amazingly and provides protection to the back of the product while also being detachable from the keyboard for portability. The fact that they offer a ten month warranty is even better, it impresses me how confident they are in the product. It's also nice that I can move the screen to different angles while I feel the hinge is durable.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered the case considering it was fairly inexpensive. At first it seemed like it might be a bit bulky. I had been using the apple keyboard which broke after only a year and a half of use and I was waiting for a replacement from Apple so I decided to order this case. It’s definitely bigger than what I had before but I’ve gotten used to it and it doesn’t seem too big now. After getting it to replace the Apple keyboard I’m still using it. The keyboard is very comfortable to use and responsive. The angle on the case is a bit restrictive but I find it is adequate for most things and the metal hinge that comes out holds in from falling over nicely. It’s lapable and works well for most things. Though plastic it seems sturdy enough and having the ability to pull the ipad out is convenient. The connection point is also metal and seems like it should last. All in all the case so far seems well built, does what I need, and was inexpensive. The only thing that would be nice would be the ability to tilt the screen further back and to possibly rotate it around so as to have the keyboard behind for watching video. But considering the price those are small things that I don’t find affecting the way I use it or detracting from the experience. For someone looking for this type of case at a reasonable price I would recommend giving this one a try.
This case is working wonderfully, both protecting the iPad while it is being transported and letting me type comfortably. The Bluetooth connection took no time at all, very easy to set up. The space key sticks occasionally, but is not an inhibitor to the way I type; also I believe this is an individual issue and that it will loosen up with use. Overall, the case does not add much weight to the iPad at all and has proved to be very convenient for transport. The charge lasts, and is recharged fairly quickly. It is sturdy, and the stand on the back allows for the keyboard to be slanted to your preference without hindering the stability. No major problems, great case.

I love that the keyboard and case combo it makes me feel like I have a good computer. I have had a couple of great comments such as I like your computer and I would reply it's a combo case and tablet. I love it and I want to buy another one for my IPad Air.
The case works great with my IPAD. It allows me to be mobile while staying in contact with my clients.
Before I purchased this case I would wait until I was back in my office before responding to my emails. I'm now able to comfortably respond to clients while working out of the office.
Note: This is my second Trent case the first case the hinge broke and the IPAD would not stay in place. I much prefer the new version.
I have used this keyboard for a few months now, and this thing is awesome for the price point. They keys are verry “clicky” I still have yet to charge it even once and it gets used every day and Dora’s heavy as the iPad Pro 12.9 is, it does not fall down on my when opend up. Sometimes it’s a little hard to use the little switch thing to remove the keyboard and just use it as a case but overall this is a very good keyboard for the price. If I were you I would just buy it and try it out. I bought the zag keyboard along with it that’s $130 and ended up returning it because this one was more bang for the buck.
Great product. Stand for raising the back of the keyboard to give a slant to the keys is a real plus as is the adjustable screen position. It is everything I was looking for in a case with keyboard. I have had several and this one I purchased after a very long and through study which seems to have been time well spent.
Very functional, I've used it for 4 days now; only drawback is the light-weight of the keyboard is overpowered by the weight of the iPad Pro 12.9, so it has a tendency to fall backwards if the stand isn't used or set just right. Good price, Zagg comparable is double the price. I had a Zagg, but the hinge broke. The New Trent has an hinge attachment lock, but not very strong. My iPad Pro has slipped out of the hinge once already, so the lock isn't sufficient to hold it in place.
