As seen in the first photo doesn't fit my railing all the way but I'm still glad I got it. My upstairs is kinda like a loft with both girls upstairs. My youngest is nine months and I don't want her to try and stick her head through or throw things over the railing. Super easy to install and feels very secure with the zip ties. Plenty left over to have a few extra ties. I will say I find the stickers not useful and a waste of time. They fell down within five minutes. Easy to pull the stickers off. If you think your railing is longer than ten feet order two and over lap them. I'll be getting a second to get first coverage. I love that someone made this and I don't have to worry about what could happen.
I must update my review and change this product to five stars. I installed it wrong and thought the stickers were garbage. Not true. The company owner Mark is wonderful, he sent me another product free of charge when I didn't ask for one and even offered to walk me through how to install. After reading a PDF file he sent with a picture, lightbulb! The stickers are best suited toward the bottom of the railing not the top. Only zip ties on top! I am so impressed by his kindness and willingness to please his consumers, this world needs more people like him running companies!
Just finished putting this up and I love it.
I pushed and pulled on it and it seems very secure.
This comes with plenty of zip ties and they can be removed which is really great because I put this up and moved it around a few times before I was happy with the way it was hanging. This took 31 zip ties.
I shopped around a bit to find a good one and I'm so happy I found this one!
The company even sent a nice email when I bought the product showing me pictures on how to install it. That helped a lot.
The 3M stickers are really sticky and be sure about where you'll put them because I'm almost positive they will take the paint off my wall if I ever want to take them down.
I cannot say enough great things about this product. After I ordered it they sent me an e-mail with an illustrated installation guide with tips, VERY HELPFUL. I LOVE that the zip-ties are adjustable! I had to readjust them several times to get it looking great (I'm a perfectionist) It was easy to install and a great comfort to have it set up knowing that my little one will be safe. We have a split level and this works great! You can see in the pictures: Before, During and After Installation (note that the photo of the finished installation, I had not yet trimmed the zip ties, they do not stick out like that now!). It took me about an hour to finish. I have also included a photo of the contents :) I used the 3M anchors and had just enough. THANK YOU!
We have a 2-year old. We rented a beach front condo for two weeks on the upper floor. The balcony has a 10 foot section of railing that is spaced far enough apart for an exploring toddler to "fit through". Even with us next to him it was too dangerous. This item solved that problem nicely. Comes with "zip ties" to secure to top and bottom railings and covers all the gaps between railing securely. Now we can e joy the ocean front balcony with our little man with more peace of mind. We will snip the zip ties and take it with us for future use.
I bought two for my stairs to keep my 1.6 year old safe. We are 3 weeks in and so far, so good. My baby boy has attempted to remove it, yanked it, and has plunged at it like a bull. He gave up when he found it was not going to budge. The net itself is sturdy, the safety tie holes do not all line up with my banister, but that is OK, because I did not have to put a safety tie in each hole made. The space between each rail is fairly wide (on my stairs) and my house was built in the 80’s so I’m not sure, but the holes for the safety ties may align with newer banisters that do not have as much space between each rail. The safety ties stay in place and cannot be removed by a child. The color of the net (light tannish) blends well with my wooden banister and the quality of the net is nicely made—not cheap looking. I gave it 4 stars because the 3M stickers do not work, most of them came off by themselves. The ties are what is keeping the net in place, which is all mine needs anyway. I would buy this and recommend to anyone else with a toddler or animal.

I have really wide gaps between rails on bannister and an infant who is starting to crawl. I was looking for something to cover the gaps to prevent him from crawling through, when the day comes. After reading the reviews, I thought I’d give Roving Cove a shot. I bought two to cover the 20’ of my upstairs balcony and the first half of my staircase. After playing around with various positions, I sent a message through amazon to get suggestions. Within a few hours, the owner, Mark, asked when he could give me a call. He was so nice and helpful. It’s very uncommon to get that kind of customer service. The zip ties have a release so adjustments can be made which is great for finding the right position. And the 3M mounts were helpful for securing the side adjacent to the wall and the bottom. I have carpet, so I secured it to the ceiling under the upstairs. Photos attached to better explain. I also purchased the Roving Cove safe edge product. Also great. Looking forward to more great safety products from this company, because I know they are good quality and provide excellent customer service.
I used this for my child's crib and it worked out great. He would get his leg stuck in the bars to the point we thought we would have to break the crib to get him out. They say don't put anything in the crib, but I needed to try something. THIS WORKED GREAT! I feel confident that he will not be able to rip/tear/ or get this product down. Real life saver. I had to buy two, the 10ft and 5ft to get all the way around.
I think this is the best way to go to protect a toddler from possibly wiggling through stair rails. We know that little ones should not even be climbing up and down the stairs but I wanted to make darn sure that if there was a slip up from not paying close attention that our Great Grand Daughter would be unable to wiggle through the railings and take a dangerous fall. The netting is the way to go. It takes time but it is not a difficult task. I highly recommend it for any family with a two story house and stair rails. A smart product.
I didn't even think about a product like this while baby proofing the house. Then I saw my infant near the banisters and I quickly realized that he would be able to fit in between the banisters if he really wanted to. I looked for a product to secure them on Amazon and saw this. I only needed a 3.5ft length covered, so this was perfect.
The install was quick and easy. Essentially you use included zipties (removable via a small tab) to secure the netting to the rail and end newel post. At the wall and floor, I used the included 3M adhesive backed sticky tabs to secure the netting also via the included zip ties. With the extra netting, I simply folded it back and secured it doubled up. When I was done, I cut off the excess of the zip ties. It was quick, easy, cheap, and feels very secure. Excellent product.
We're currently living in a rental with a large step down into the sun room where my kids love to play, and there's a banister on the side of the step. My one-year-old fell off the step through one of the banister gaps (he was crying but otherwise fine, thank goodness!!), so I went looking online for something that would keep him safe without damaging the banister itself. This was a bit of a pain to install (and not just because of my three little "helpers"). I had to keep adjusting it to keep it taut, and some of the sticky pieces wouldn't stay stuck. It's also not the best looking (like most baby proofing items), but it keeps my kids safe... it's been several months and no more incidents with the banister!
