AmazonBasics Heavy Weight Ruled Index Cards, White, 3x5-Inch, 100-Count

I just wasted over an hour of my life reading reviews for index cards. I am tired of the quality of EVERYTHING going down the toilet. Company's markets can't grow so they rely on inhouse R&D to cheapen the products until nobody buys them...this is all products everywhere! These cards are very good quality and are actually thicker than some 15 year old cards I had to compare them to instead of the merely printed/cut paper you find posing as real index cards. I'm stocking up on these for the quality and thickness that are so difficult to find anymore even with top brands. My big box cards are so warped they became unusable even for grocery lists. The only down side to these Amazon cards is they aren't very white (I'm a bright white junkie)...comparing to the 15 year old cards I have they are the very same brightness. These will probably morph into thin paper over time...load up now!

Very good for an inexpensive Add-On item.
Much stiffer than standard weight-
Takes ink well - not as crisp as smooth card stock but totally fine for notes, lists, flash cards, etc.
Ball point and gel had no bleed through or visibility from back side.
Sharpies (fine and ultra fine) visible from back side, fine more so than ultra fine. This cost a star.
Definitely a buy again item.
Now I need them in a grid pattern!

I’m in medical terminology so flash cards are my friend. I’m only on chapter 8 and have already gone through almost 500 index cards. I’m pretty much a professional on index cards at this point. These are definitely heavier than office store brands and the off-brands and big box stores. They’re a good weight because they’re not flimsy but they’re not super thick to jam up my printer.

I use these for studying medical terminology in college. So far, I've ordered 1,300. Haha They do show through a little bit if the light hits it just right, but not a big deal if studying alone. If you order multiple packs (even at the same time), they will likely be different heights. Small difference but I have mine in a long index card holder and you can see the unevenness. The quality is nice, I definitely prefer these over the cheap store-bought cards. I would call these heavy weight, they're pretty thick.

I sent back a pack of Oxford index cards since they've been made paper-thin, and so useless for cataloguing purposes. After I ordered these Amazon Basics cards I found, by chance, some index cards I'd bought forty years ago. These AB cards were actually stiffer and heavier than the cards of my childhood. An astonishing verification of the high quality here! If you need good, stiff cards, there are they.

Description

An Amazon Brand.

Index cards don't seem as sturdy as they used to, but they're still stiffer than using paper.
I don't know why, but I always think it's fun to write on them.
Make mini books.
Make mini recipe books.
They go through some printers, too.

I have been studying for a big test. I was having trouble studying, since sharpies and highlighters often bleed through blank index cards (showing the answer). I decided to try thicker index cards, so I purchased the AmazonBasics Heavy Weight Ruled Index Cards.

I tested the cards to determine the thickness of the paper by using a black sharpie, pink highlighter, green highlighter, gold sharpie, and yellow highlighter on the front of the card. If you put the index cards on a surface, you can really only see the black and gold sharpies bleeding into the back of the paper. If you hold the index cards up, all the markers have bled through to the other side.

The cards are moderately thick, not extremely thick (like the word “heavy weight” has led me to believe). I took away one star for the card thickness.

Overall, I believe the index cards are fine and I would purchase them again. They deserve FOUR STARS!

Exactly what I needed and expected for a fair price. So much easier than fighting back to school crowds!

These worked great. I kept buying notecards to make flash cards for anatomy and the marker would just bleed right though. I ordered these hoping they would be better and they worked great. No bleed through and worked great as flash cards for studying

They are heavy dudy cards
I love them so far
I use them for my mock trial competition
I also have a app for flash cards for those of you that are technical but these are great
By the way I usually don’t listen to 5 star reviews just saying I AM a real person
