I rcvd my/these scissors in the mail today; my 2nd pair. I bought my first pair 9 years ago, and have loved using them several times every day. I think the old pair must have been dropped on the floor, as the handle got a crack which spread when used. The length measures exactly 7-3/4" from tip to tip, not 8-1/2" as described in the Dimensions. I think the main reason I've liked using them so much is because they are a bit shorter than most kitchen scissors, and hence seem easier to control one's cutting.
Good quality, comfortable to use, very sharp. I don't really like the dip cut into the edge of the one blade...I don't see a purpose for it, but it doesn't seem to have any negative effects on cutting things.
General: good kitchen scissors.
Good: Doesn't have the metal tools at the user end, that snag on your apron.
Does include a sheath for protecting the tips in storage in your knife drawer.
Bad: Unlike CC's other kitchen shears, does NOT come apart for cleaning.
As sold, the sheath is tied to the shears, so you can't use them without first cutting the tie with your kitchen scissors...
I have owned a pair of these for many years and love them. Just bought this pair for a friend after I worked in her kitchen and tried to use her scissors that didn't cut worth a darned. These do the job, are inexpensive, and durable.
I have the different designs and they never need sharpening. Work Great! I have given them as gifts too.

Careful; these are sharp! And survived many dishwasher washes. I’ve had them for several years now and I would purchase again.
I love the Chicago cutlery shears. The only complaint I have is they don't come apart like my old pair, but that is because they are the low end model, but I knew that when I bought them. I gave them 5 stars anyway because they go into the dishwasher, and come out spotless even though they are riveted together.
i bought these scissors 15 years ago and they've never let me down. best pair of scissors i ever owned.
bought this second pair for someone else as a gift and it will last them 15 or more years as well.
Scissors do the trick. We lost the original pair that came with our knife set and needed a replacement. These are ok. They seem a tad smaller than the original set. Haven't use them to cut bone or anything, but other than that they seem to do the trick.
Nice and sharp but don't know how long they will stay that way if they are made in China.
