Great tire pressure gauge. I use a quick disconnect on my air hose at home making this very easy to swap out. This gauge is great since you can lock it on your valve and inflate whatever you are trying to use it on all the while being able to check what the pressure is on the lighted gauge. If you happen to add a little too much, it is just a matter of pushing the deflator button a couple of seconds to let the excess out...still all the while having it attached to the valve and not having to remove it. I like the trigger handle, it just feels right in you hand and makes the gauge at just the right angle to see it.
This is really made to be used in a mechanic or home situation where you can attach it to an air compressor, it will work as a stand alone tire pressure gauge but is a little large to put in your glovebox for storage. If you have an air compressor already though this is a must buy accessory that you will really be glad you have.
Very Dependable and Accurate!!
Bought it on August/2018. First time I used today, 10/3/18, noticed a crack on the base when installing the provided connector. Fitting was just installed by hand! Air leaks all over. Not safe to use... not good at all. Cannot recommend this.
Edited: Customer service made all the difference and promptly provided a replacement for the defective item. Replacement received, installed, tested and everything worked as intended: no leaks, no cracks. Good product, better customer service. From 1 to 4 stars. Thank you!
I've only used this a couple times, but so far it works great. I have an '07 4Runner and I've always had a little trouble with many air chucks I've used. The locking chuck on this product seats perfectly and locks tight. I set my compressor on about 60 psi and a few short bumps of the inflator lever and my tire is right where I want it. Very nice. I will be very happy if this product continues working this good.
Why 1 star off? In checking the pressure reading with a trusted digital gauge I've used for a few years, I find this product reading about 0.7psi high. The good thing is that both gauges are very consistent with each other so it seems a calibration issue. And to be truthful, I can't really say that my old trusted gauge hasn't been reading a little low all these years so who can really say which one is right. They are probably both a little off. With them being consistent with each other, I can always choose which way I want to lean.
Works great, the gauge automatically comes on when it senses pressure and shuts off automatically. Surprised how nice it seemed for the cost, time will tell if it lasts. I aired my tires all up to 40 psi according to this gauge. I had just repaired one tire, and I double checked it in the morning to make sure it wasn't leaking... and the gauge I checked with said it was 30 psi! I couldn't believe it dropped so much, so just to be safe, I pulled this back out and it said 40 psi. I couldn't believe the calibration was that far off... I checked the tire pressure using the vehicle TPMS and guess what... this device was bang on, they were all 40 psi. This unintentionally diagnosed a different pressure gauge that was off by almost 10 psi.
We purchased this under the impression that it provided a way to monitor the tire pressure while it was being inflated. That is not the way it works. The user inflates the tire without knowing the tire pressure until after the inflation process is completed. The user then checks the tire pressure using the integrated gauge. If the pressure is still too low or too high, then the tire must be deflated and/or the inflation process repeated. This is a step wise process which must be repeated until the tire is inflated to the desired pressure. This is exactly the same process users who have a separate pressure gauge must use. I contacted the company and was told by customer service that was the way the device is designed to operate. It seems like the wording found in the product description may cause some users to think as I did: " Instead of filling a tire, check the pressure, adjusting, checking, and repeating over and over again, simply fill the tire to the exact pressure you want."
Based on my experience it works like most tire inflators.
Based on proactive follow up by customer service and the resulting action, I am raising my rating to four stars. The item works but just not the way we needed.. I believe the product description should be edited to avoid confusion. This vendor's customer service is excellent.

Fill it Right the First Time
The AstroAI Digital Tire Inflator Gauge makes filling tires extremely easy when using an air compressor. Instead of filling a tire, check the pressure, adjusting, checking, and repeating over and over again, simply fill the tire to the exact pressure you want. Fill a tire to specification twice as quickly or even faster by using fewer instruments! Save time and just fill it right the first time.
High Quality Construction
The first thing you'll notice about this gauge is its weight; only high quality stainless steel and brass was used to provide an extremely heavy duty inflator gauge that can withstand up to an incredible 250 PSI. The rubber hose is insulated and extra thick for superior performance.

This item does work, quality is not great. The trigger housing is a very thin casting. The air chuck end will not stay sealed so it leaks. I have to hold it on the valve so it does not leak. The gauge seems to work. Mine came with the coupler installed and I'm not touching it till it leaks. I can see why the casting is cracking when people tighten the coupler. Like I said the casting is very thin!

I have raised my rating to a 5, mainly because of the companies customer service.
They reached out to me and offered a refund, plus a new inflator, and I could keep the one I have. I accepted their offer and they have refunded me and I received the new inflator today. I have not tried it yet to see how well it is going to work but it has been a win win with this seller.
This is really a nice gauge that appears to be well built. Included in the package were 4 valve plastic valve caps, a metal valve tool, and an adapter that attaches it to your compressor that you'll need to install on the gauge with the sealing tape included in the box. The pressure readings agree with a gauge I've used and trusted for years, so I'm comfortable with the accuracy. The "head" of the gauge is surrounded with a rubber casing that protects the gauge if dropped or slid across the floor.
In use, the connector attaches well and holds tight to the valve stem, though at times the locking mechanism wouldn't attach tight enough which allowed some air leakage. To solve that I found I'd have to push it and hold it while filling. I suspect that was due to the lock "finding" and holding a thread on the valve that wasn't tight enough to prevent some leaking. This is the prime reason I rated a 4, plus one other that I'll mention in a bit. This wasn't a deal breaker at all, but I was surprised it happened (more than once). Maybe as I use it I'll get better at getting it to lock at a tighter position. The gauge automatically starts to work and the backlight, which is really nice, will come on making it easy to see the pressure. The pressure isn't displayed while filling, but as soon as the trigger is released the pressure reads. A nice addition is the pressure release button which allows easy air release in case of over-filling, and is good at letting only a little bit at a time.
The 2nd reason I gave it a 4-star instead of 5 is that the hose is hard to flex near the valve attachment. On my motorcycle I need to fit in between the two rotors on the front wheel and bend it onto the upward pointed valve stem. I was hoping the hose would allow this, and it almost does. I have to slightly push the rubber valve stem slightly to one side to get a good seal because the hose is just too thick to bend tight enough. Again, this may correct itself over time through use, but out of the box it was tight. Still, I was able to get it to work. In the past I would need to read the pressure, connect the compressor, disconnect the compressor and read the pressure again until it was where I wanted it. Now it's all done in one step.
Overall, I highly recommend this gauge; just be aware of a couple of possible, initial shortcomings.
UPDATE: Works well on my 4Runner and Volt, not so well on my 911. You have to really push in to get a seal to pump air in. I would still buy one, but......
For 30 years I have been checking the tire pressure every Sunday in my vehicles. This involved applying the tire pressure gauge (which was hit or miss to get the pressure), adding air, checking the pressure, letting air out. This took several minutes each time. So I decided to give this gauge a try. Mainly because it was so hard for a few members of my family to even take a tire pressure with the old gauge. Set up and instructions on this gauge were great. Honestly, it took me about 3 minutes to check, add/remove air from 4 cars. Amazing easy and quick. If you maintain your investment in your tires like I do, this is a good gauge for you.
10/30/2018 - In todays mail I received a replacement AstroAI Digital Tire Inflator. Outstanding customer service! The readout is VERY easy to and the pressure reading is accurate as well.
10/29/2018 - I have already been connected by AstroAI Customer Support and changing my review to 3 and will go 5 when I receive the warranty replacement. Awesome support!!
10/28/2018 - When installing the 1/4" NPT Steel Fitting I was holding the housing in one hand and tightening the air hose fitting with a wrench in the other, I ended up with a split case, which now I have a constant air leak. I didn't feel as it was over torque because I was holding the case in my hand. Otherwise this seems to be an awesome tire inflator. Hopefully I can get the case replaced....
1) Hard to get a good seal with the quick release chuck; truck, car and motorcycle tires all have trouble sealing.
2) Not entirely convinced this item was new (as described) - hose connector was threaded in (and also leaked) - inspected and found no tape and only hand tight.
Deducted 2 stars for poor connector chuck - will end up having to pay more for a better chuck.
UPDATE: These guys' customer service is pretty amazing. The Astro-AI guys contacted me based on my original review and sent me another unit. Way awesome. I still have to fiddle with the quick release chuck to get a seal sometimes - but for the money you can't go wrong. Added another star.
