After researching all the chemicals and additives in regular lotions, I have been trying to find a more natural alternative to moisturize my skin for about a year. It seemed like everyone loved using coconut oil as a moisturizer, so I gave it a try. I’ve tried using coconut oil during two separate seasons (winter and summer), and each time it dried out my skin and made it flaky and scaly! I’ve tried making my own body butters using cocoa and shea butters, but they went on so greasy and the moisture never stayed, even when I applied it to damp skin. My skin would always be ashy again in a couple hours. I tried using just plain avocado or olive oil on damp skin, but I got the same results as the body butters. I even thought about buyin “all natural” lotions from a few different companies, but the prices are ridiculously high for only a few ounces and I knew I would run through them quickly. A couple weeks ago, while I searched once again for a natural moisturizer, I stumbled upon vegetable glycerin on Amazon. I think I had maybe heard of it before but never gave it much thought, probably thinking it was a cooking ingredient or something. After looking at some reviews, I saw that people not only used it for their skin, but their face, hair, and scalp as well. I decided to try it as a last ditch effort before I would bite the bullet and buy the expensive natural lotions. THIS GLYCERIN IS MY NEW HOLY GRAIL. It’s kind of hard to explain the consistency but it’s the PERFECT combination of moisturization without the greasiness. It looks like an oil but it’s much more dissolvable. It’s even a water-soluble so I put some in a spray bottle and used it on my hair. It helped to keep it moisturized and looking shiny. As far as using it for my body, I use it all over on damp (not wet) skin.This glycerin even withstands the scratch test! For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s when you scratch your leg or your arm and if it shows up ashy then that means you know you need some lotion. I can put this glycerin on in the morning and by the nighttime there’s no ashiness or dryness on my body (and this is during the harsh winter months). It’s perfect because it’s not greasy at all so I know this will be a great moisturizer for the summer as well. I haven’t tried this on my face because it’s pretty sensitive and I’m not sure how it would react. However as far as my hair, scalp, and body it works like a dream. I’m so glad I finally found a natural moisturizer that works!
Great product and price. I use this to make homemade liquid laundry softener. I can not use store bought softener due to asthma and allergies. My recipe requires the glycerine and this keeps the static gone! Keepin it green ya'll! 🤗
I put this in our foaming handsoaps along with some essential oils because it smells good and then this product moistens and softens skin. It's also great to squeeze into the bathtub for little bodies in the dry winter's nights.
It's great! My toddler had some kind of bumps on her hands due to dry skin. I applied it on her hands and now her skin is getting softer and the bumps are slowly disappearing within one week of application. Prior to this I had used various lotions and oils and nothing was improving her skin. I love it and it's a great product.
Very good. I've been making my own e-juice because it's just too expensive in the stores. I rather use VG than PG. Sometimes I put it in my vape with no flavors and I don't mind although I prefer it with flavor but this does the trick while I'm waiting for the juice to steep.

I've had dry skin for over a decade, and using this as a body wash and shampoo got rid of it. YMMV, but if your skin is stubbornly dry and itchy, it's worth trying this to see if it helps.

I will be ordering this again. I massage it on my hands, feet and hair while damp. After I seal the moisture in, I then apply lanolin or petroleum/oil or both. My feet and hands are soft. This is a great moisturizer when applied properly. It works for me.
