Some of the negative reviews gave me pause and this item sat in my cart for a long time, but due to the low price, I eventually decided to risk it--and I'm glad I did. My concerns included:
weight - This pan weighs 3 lbs 8-5/8 oz.,which is a pound heavier than a similar pan I own. I do wish it had a helper handle, because when full I need two hands to lift it. However, the single handle is large, comfortable and triple-riveted, so I managed to use both hands there. On the plus side, the weight keeps the pan from spinning or sliding during stirring.
induction - I had no trouble using this on an induction burner.
not round, so lids won't fit - Two lids from other 12-inch pans fit perfectly on this.
non-stick coating - I would've liked to know what substance was used for this, but it does seem to work well.
I bought this pan because its size and shape suit my cooking needs. I deducted one star for the lack of a helper handle and the lack of information about the coating, but overall I'm very pleased with my purchase.
I bought this pan to deep fry with, and it works very well. It's thick and holds heat well, important when you're trying to keep the frying oil at a constant high temperature. It's a little larger than I expected, but that just means I can fry more food at a time! However, it also means I have to use it on the front burners. If I use it on the back burners, it won't sit on the center of the burner, meaning it won't evenly distribute heat. The green design threw me off at first, but it's grown on me.
Cleaning it is a little more difficult than I'd like due to its size. It doesn't play friendly with my sink. I'll wash it once, then find there are still spots near the top of the pan.
Absolutely love it !!
As some people have mentioned, its not a perfect round for a lid to fit it precisely, but its pretty minor that you dont really notice it. It does not come with a lid but I had one from another pot. A give it one star less, only because it would have been helpful if it had a handle on the other side. The pan is heavy and if you are cooking a big amount you do need that extra support.
I bought this over a year ago and it is in nearly perfect shape. I’m writing this review only because I’m so impressed that I’ve had it more than a year and it’s not a scratched up discolored mess, as is usually the case with cookware. I’m hard on my pans. I love to cook, often at high heat, and while I’m meticulous about cleaning my cookware, my husband .. not so much. And hey, if you’ve got a husband who cleans the kitchen you just bite your lip if he doesn’t do it right. Anyhow back to this pan. I also like the heavy gauge, and the price is better than most of the cheapo Walmart stuff that lasts about 6 months. I’m ordering other pans from this maker.
My last wok lasted about 5 years, don't know where I got it, didn't spend more than $25, and I used it a lot. I like this new one a lot, it appears durable, a bit heavy 4.5 lbs, good non stick coating and easy cleaning, I think the fancy looking flat bottom (exterior) makes food cook faster, you can't shake it back and forth with this bottom, but that's ok. I would recommend this product.

I am giving this pan an additional star, because after using it for several months, the nonstick coating is flawless. You can get a decent sear on whatever you're cooking, and the food that cooks (caramelization or maillard reaction) cleans out quick and easy. Loses half a star because the outside of the pan (the green part) is permanently stained from drips and spills, and can't be cleaned, even with barkeeper's friend. It's still heavy, and I deduct another half-star because I'm unable to flip with one arm due to the weight. It's not the first pan I reach for, but it's a solid pan and besides those two points, I am pleased with it.
Previous 3-star review:
MUCH heavier than i expected; I think I'd hurt my wrists if I tried to flip food in it. Inside is white & blue sort of mottled color, not the dark gray nonstick coating that you'd expect. Is ferrous metal (magnet-friendly) so will work on an induction burner, so that's a plus.
Although this pan is a bit heavier than the other pans with different types of coating materials, I like it a lot better. The other pans were good for the first month, probably okay for the next two, and definitely a stretch after three months. This pan was amazing for the first few months, and still okay after six months of use despite the colorization.
By the way, we use the stir fry pans heavily each day (more than an hours cooking). "Amazing" or "good" means that they can be used to fry soft tofu with a little oil. "Okay" means frying tofu with little oil is possible but difficult.
We are looking for another (possibly more expensive) pan that can last longer. Really tired of replacing my stir fry pans every six months or shorter.
It fit the bill for me. I purchased this because I was tired of making messes when I sautéed greens. This is one of the stock item that is purchased for the visually impaired (i am legally blind) and many sighted who attend our training say they could use one too. I was able to make my kale and I didn't lose any to the stove. I can see making fried chicken in this also, if I ever go back to frying Cleanup was too easy. If I could ask for changes, I would like to have in other colors to match my kitchen 😎 And for an option for a wider bottom. I would like to make pancakes but botttom is too small. May one day 🙏🙏🙏
This Wok is great!!! Great size... Easy to clean!! Fast Shipping!!
Have been used for two months. Surprisingly good wok. Really nonstick even if I have some light scratches at the bottom. Have clear instruction about preheating in the manual, which is very helpful.
updated: after 12 month it is still good! That's very surprising to me. I think all my other pans lost their non-stick around this time. Really like this one.
