I may be partial, but I think Vanity Fair is one of the best magazines in print. They seem to cover a bit of everything with style, wit, humor, and class.
I have subscribed off and on for decades. The magazine uses reporting from contributors who are ethical and adept, and it does not shy from controversial content. Some of it’s lighter pieces verge on Cosmopolitan level triviality, but what are you going to do?
Great Reading !
Love Vanity Fair. Have subscribed for decades. Always interesting and well-written articles. The photography is excellent also. Wouldn't miss an issue.
ENJOY MOST OF THE ARTICLES WHICH ARE VERY CURRENT. HARD TO HOLD -- A LITTLE BIG AND DON'T LIKE TO HAVE TO TURN TO BACK PAGES TO COMPLETE MOST ARTICLES.

Description
Nobody knows more about star power than VANITY FAIR. Each issue brings you high-profile interviews, breathtaking photography, and thought-provoking features on the world's most engaging people, places and personalities. Plus, you'll also receive must-see special issues like the Hollywood issue and the Best-Dressed issue. VANITY FAIR sparks the global conversation about the people and ideas that matter most.
I put "light" in quotation marks because the main articles in this magazine can be far from light, but they're always well written and absorbing. Yes, they love the Brits, but so do I, and they may feature a few too many articles on Hollywood, American, and British aristocracy for some tastes, but I don't care. These are almost always fun to read. Their more serious articles on topics such as the Stuxnet virus or the state of the Irish economy, to give but two examples, are well researched and absorbing. Long may this magazine exist.
Best journalism, fair reporting today in America and the world. Left leaning but the occasional conservative is profiled. Small type a problem with hard copy, not on Kindle.
Vanity Fair is head and shoulders above "People" magazine. It targets those uppty folks who won't read those fashion rags, but still want to know about the rich and famous. Sometimes its really good reading but mostly I could care less. Exception is the murder and mayhem from the expose of the Show jumping (horses) circuit. (Re-written into the book "Hot Blood", which if you missed it is a great read into the greed of rich people. You'd have thought that there was such a thing as so much money you wouldn't have to cheat insurance companies but I guess I didn't factor in the cost of a top rated jumping horse.) The covers have in the past been very cutting edge. Anyone remeber the issue with Demi Moore in full body paint and a minor shadow? But who is dating who on the movie sets is not what I care about. If you do, get this one over the others.
The fashions are fun, and the political writing is some of the best out there. They are one of the voices resisting!
Vanity Fair has taken the magazine to the next level via their political investigations, particularly those centering in NYC.
