Veranda

Beautiful magazine with great design ideas. I started cancelling most of my magazines because I was receiving so many and just not reading them. Plus the content didn't seem to be as good. But Veranda is a great magazine and I love to peruse the issues. Cup of tea, Veranda, and a nice, cozy chair = happiness. Although I can look at a lot of websites online, like Houzz, it's just not the same as flipping through the magazine. Plus, I am trying to cut down on the amount of EMF exposure I am getting, so not using my iPad to view magazines it helpful.

Just a note for those interested in subscribing - I really enjoy this magazine but I have to say the publisher is very slow in getting this subscription going. In November I ordered several magazine subscriptions and so far my first issue of Veranda has still not arrived where several other subscription were received within 5-6 weeks. An inquiry this week was met with a reply that next month I should receive my first issue.

As far as the magazine goes, from my past issues I find it the homes they feature have a great balance between modern, eclectic and chic design - definitely leans toward lux! Looking forward to having next month's issue in the mailbox.

02/16/21 Update : The March 2012 edition has just arrived, which makes for a 12 week lag time in receiving the first issue. - DG

Actually I'm on my balcony so technically it's not a veranda, but the idea is the same! Snap up a copy of Veranda Magazine (subscribing makes it a lot cheaper!), a glass of wine or other long cold drink, put your feet up and spend a few hours poring over the fantastic homes in the pages of Veranda. The photography is top notch and there is a wide variety of homes featured. I subscribe to several home mags and recently ditched Architectural Digest in favor of this one. Why? Because the homes are clean, modern and accessible. Homes in AD tend toward aristocratic, cluttered, dark and gilt edged (or 24 karat wrapped)! Unless you've recently been knighted by Queen Elizabeth or have a second castle in the Loire Valley, you'll probably prefer the homes inhabited by mere mortals in Veranda!

Great magazine with informative articles and asethically pleasing home decorating pictures.

Lovers of beauty and style, unite! Veranda is an interior design magazine that will inspire. The full color spreads, all by leading design photographers, are not only stunning but sophisticated. You'll get great information about the latest textiles, wall and floor coverings. I love their articles about art and design history. This is one of my all-time favorites and, as I can't bear to throw a copy away, it's become a wonderful resource whenever I'm looking for inspiration..

I'll never get rid of these books I love them the decor makes me zone.

I have looked forward to receiving this magazine because of the ideas displayed on its pages. They are wonderful. They are the kind that you sit and look at a long, long time, trying to figure out how you can use them, or even just a tiny portion of them in your own home. I heartily recommend this magazine to everyone. And of course, Amazon's prompt attention to their customers needa and wishes is always appreciated. I know I can depend on Amazon, and will continue to do so.

Full of wonderful decorating and highlights beautiful homes. Only wish the November and December issues HAD MORE CHRISTMAS HOMES AND DECORATING - the ONE time during the whole year when it is a no-brainer on what to feature. I do not want to see flowers and purple and pink on the cover of a December issue - save it for May. Anyway, other than my rant above - this is a marvelous magazine!.

A lot of advertisements that have nothing to do with decorating. A little disappointed. The styles featured in the magazine are very elegant.

Very beautiful magazine. Contents is a little out of my reach $$-wise.
