This works just as described! I purchased a few of these to use as space savers under my laptop, large monitor & printer -elevated from the desk top, with storage underneath - not to mention a storage draw for paper clips, ink pens, post it notes. Also, the pieces of the leg fit together easily & snugly. They are interchangeable- so added extra to raise the monitor two extra spacers (per leg) - the lap top by one extra spacer per leg & the printer at normal height. I also used one unit on my book shelf- w/ a drawer & storage above & below. Also, the cord management grooves are nice on the back of he unit are a nice touch. These units also have a nice storage indention on the sides of the top for ink pens, pencils ------most helpful - so they don't roll of the desk. I always have a pen handy now! - even at my bookshelf! O, btw- I raised my monitor high enough that I can 'store' my speakers under there! The others are high enough to store a pack of copy paper under- or Kleenex box - etc - reclaim your desk space! One more- my monitor is now much closer to eye level when standing- but not too high for sitting.
This is a good stable solution to for my desktop usage of this riser.
As you might notice from the image, I've combined this Wali riser with a Curve from Twelve South: https://www.amazon.com/Twelve-South-Laptops-MacBooks-ergonomic/dp/B07377XVNY/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1540597819&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=twelve+south+curve&psc=1
What I like about the Wali version of this type of riser (of which you will see many on Amazon) is that it fairly priced. It also has a slightly smaller footprint than many of the risers made in this style. The length is the same, but the width is only about 9 inches, which is all I need for the Twelve South Curve.
Growth at work has meant downsizing of office space for me. I'm having to get really creative about storage and design so things can be tidy, functional, and visually pleasing in my new, smaller space. I decided on glass risers so they wouldn't put an obstacle in the view down to the surface of my desk and ordered this Wali riser.
It is beautiful and super easy to assemble. For me, the first height of the legs was perfect (you can turn the base of the leg to extend it). The pieces are all nice quality.
However, I decided to exchange it because my desk is not very deep and at times I need to tuck my keyboard under the riser so I can use the surface for other things. This Wali riser is too narrow between the legs for the keyboard to fit. If I hadn't needed a wider space, I would definitely have kept this riser. This is the only reason for a reduced star, but elsewise it is a quality, beautiful office item!
I bought this to raise my monitor to eye level. It does that. I find the shelf and the cubbies on the side useful and like that I can push the keyboard under the monitor.
Ordered it for the drawer but was happy when I saw how the legs went together. It gives you multiple options for height. Made sturdy, overall happy, only wish the drawer was just a bit larger. That is the only reason I didn’t give it a five star.

I used this to put my cable box on. Before the cable box was sitting on top of my Blu-Ray player and my Blu-Ray player would overheat and stop working. I love that it has a vented metal plate so now both units are able to get air circulating around them and I didn't have to give up any space.
I needed to get my screen higher and needed this to bump it up a few inches. I still wish it were about two or three inches higher, but at least it is better than it was. If you don't need much height, it is perfect. Elegant on a glass desk.
I bought this shelf to lift my laptop a little so I could place a USB drive under the computer. This shelf is similar to many others on the market but it's unbeatable for the price. It's all metal construction and takes about two minutes to assemble with the included wrench.
I have a similar one as a monitor stand to lift it up higher and am using this one to stack cable box, books, etc. The drawer holds an x1 cable box with room to spare leaving storage above and below it.
I have my monitor in this stand with my laptop closed and slid under. It is a little flimsy. I think if you were still using one of the older monitors that are heavier it would not work as well. It does work well for me though.
