I am an operating room registered nurse and I am quite familiar with hemostats. However, I was shocked at their 101 multiple uses. For instance, my vet and dog groomer use the hemostat to safely remove dogs' small, unwanted, germ catching ear hairs. I use them to pull my needle and thread through thick materials. In addition, I use them as a clamp to insure two glued pieces dry and adhere. I guess hemostats' grooved clamps and locking mechanisms make effective, strong "grippers." Plus, stainless steel hemostats, like Aven 12002 hemostats, are easy to clean and are less likely to rust.
Received today. I tested it with a piece of paper and it locked onto it with a very strong hold. Some of the edges are a little rough and it was dirty, but after some cleaning it works very well for my needs. I will update review if any problems arise.
I purchased these to use tying paracord, and they fit the bill nicely. First, the tips are small and easily push through tightly knotted cord, which is especially helpful when I'm finishing a bracelet or other tie. The tips are a little rough in some spots, and they've caught or abraded the paracord when I haven't been careful. I've been using these pretty often and for some rugged knots, and they still hold up (though they're a little loose at the joint). I haven't had to use a fid (a special paracord needle) since I bought these. Overall, these are a great deal and completely worth the $6 they're charging.
Just what my husband needed to fix the TINY rubber bands that clamp his mouth shut from his broken jaw (thank you , oral surgeon!). Not too small for husband's hand, tip stays closed to hold the tiny bands - it works as it should, and the price was good.
Works great for actuating relief valve when refilling 1 pound cylinders.

These are (were, someone already walked off with them) great little clamps/tweezers for any sort of work that required a tight fit, sure grip and ease of use. Perfect for crafts where small parts must be installed or held in place. The size is perfect for dropping in shirt pockett when going fishing, they also work great for removeing hooks from small fish so you can return them to the water unharmed.
It is what it is but it’s a nice set!
Good precision. Teeth and tip line up well. Holds very tightly. Used this to attach some electronic pins in a very tight spot inside a night vision device.
Worked great for my newborn puppies. Fast shipping
Been looking for years for a good pair of forceps for grooming, out of the 2 pair I bought 1 is perfect, closes tightly, opens easily, 2nd one closes tightly, can't open again unless you use two hands! But at least I got 1 good one! 😃
