I bought these as my introduction set. I was not disappointed and still happy with the purchase that I made. I did need to purchase a second set from a different seller for one brush that wasn't in this set.
But for the price, I'm not mad at all. They work very well and none of them have come apart or had loose hairs.
I've told quite a few friends about this product and will continue to do so. I've owned them for almost a year now and they are still as fantastic as the day they arrived!
I can't rave enough about the EmaxDesign 20 Pieces Makeup Brush Set. I was drawn to the set because of all the eye brushes. Most sets focus on facial brushes but I happen to like eye brushes more. There is every type of brush shape and stiffness you could ever want. Also included are sponge applicators, fine line brushes, and a mascara applicator as well. Missing, but not misses, it the eyebrow brush but I have plenty of those. What I appreciated the most was the brush "key" with all the descriptions of each brush. You can not go wrong with a set of makeup brushes like this and the price makes it an amazing deal. I highly recommend these brushes.

These brushes are sturdy, have not lost bristles or fallen apart on me. I have no idea how well they work for makeup but they apply food colors to cakes very well. And luster dust or edible glitter too. I have had the in water, sugar syrup, vodka, and gel food colors with minimal staining amd no damage. They clean easily. I like the variety of the pack for different application techniques and textures, some work well for drawing and others for adding texture or glitters.

How to clean EmaxDesign Makeup brushes:
1. Run the bristles of the brush under warm running water.
2. Apply a small amount of gentle shampoo to the bristles and work into a light lather.
3. Rinse the bristles thoroughly under running water. You will notice that the water leaving the brush is tinted from old makeup.
4. Continue rinsing until no color remains on the brush.
5. Allow the brush to air-dry.
These brushes were a good buy. I was nervous because there are so many options and poor quality items related to beauty supplies but I was pleasantly surprised. I was looking to expand my collection. I love the all black - I think it looks sleek and edgey. The brush quality themselves is great- no bristles falling out and they feel very smooth. Some of the smaller brushes I probably won’t use as much as this kit came with so many but it’s always good to have extra! If you are looking for some inexpensive great quality brushes then look no further !!
I love this brush set! the price is fantastic for what you get, I do professional makeup, and I needed smaller detail brushes, in bulk, for more intense projects. I go through a lot of brushes weekly and I've seen/used them all different kinds of brushes that vary in size and price. These are a wonderful investment for how many I got, how fast they arrived and their overall quality. I use these brushes for both stage makeup application and regular every day makeup application, they're very sturdy, and there was a wide enough variety that I received brushes I don't already have in my collection. Definitely a good investment for anyone into more intricate and consistent makeup application, or for a starting makeup brush kit. I'll advise my theater makeup students to buy them and I definitely would buy again!
Great brushes. I've never been one to dish out $15 just for one brush. To me, these are quite quality with lots of variety. My only complaint is that it's hard to determine which brush is what. They come with an identification chart, but its so small they all look the same. I ended up using a permenant marker to write what number each brush matches to on the chart.
Great product for a great price. I haven't even used half the brushes because there are so many, but the ones I have used have been used repeatedly and have stood up well. They've also held up well during cleanings. I can't think of a single time that any of the brushes have shed even a single bristle. Glad I bought them since I'm too cheap to splurge on an expensive brush set! This is a good alternative.
For the price, I was willing to take a risk. I would definitely give these brushes a thorough cleaning before using them-- the chemical smell was very strong-- but I've otherwise been pleasantly surprised! This is a great starter set for someone who is beginning to get interested in makeup, or for someone who has already had some experience with makeup but is looking to try out some cheaper brushes before committing to more expensive sets. I think the variety is great and has really helped me experiment with my eyeshadows especially.
