the first thing I did was read over all of the bad reviews. Neewer did change the table mount and it is now one solid piece. I attached the boom onto a SQUARE table edge (very important to its stability) and stuck my modified 1800S . it held just fine. you definitely need to be gentle when moving this thing around, I can already tell you that the thin metal will not withstand allot of abuse. the wind screen likes to walk off but nothing a piece of yarn didn't remedy. for a cheap, decent setup, this isn't a bad product at all. in fact, I ordered three of them and they all seem to work just fine. but remember, these are still budget stands and are not made to withstand seriously heavy use.
Firm hold. The clamp is a bit jank and can damage desks, but otherwise it's well done all around. Use it with my Blue Snowball directly screwed in. You may have to tighten the screws once to make it have a firmer hold.
Easy to set up and use - it helps a lot to make my mic sound the best that it can be....
I did not like the pop screen and drilled a hole in the desk because I did not like the desk Clamp. works great.
Desk clamp is metal, arms are metal, joints are metal, shock mount is metal. So a great start. One star off for a shotty designed pop filter mount. It simply won't stay put even complete tightened down. I ended creating a wedge with some double-sided foam tape to put in between the clam and where to attach is to the arm to keep it stable. All good now. Also I will say that the included pop filter in certain positions can not hold its own weight. You'll have to monkey with it yourself to find the best position that works for you but it will take a little bit of doing. If I had to get nitpicky, I will say that the boom arm is shorter than I expected to be. My desk is about 3 feet deep and if I mounted on the back of the desk and try to pull the arm towards me, it barely reaches. But hay, you get a lot of acessories for your money here so I can't complain too much it's definitely worth it if you just need a cheap setup. CAD U37 approved.

A great value for the buy. Definitely there are other suspension arms that are probably a higher quality etc but they are going to be much more expensive. This is a FABULOUS entry level or for a traveling recording artist to have for the value. I would recommend definitely.
I love this boom! It adjusts in a way that allows me to get it out of the way when not recording and simply using the area. Maneuvers with ease and pretty satisfied with quality especially for the price. It comes with some handy items like pop filter, windscreen cover, and stabilizer for mic (be sure to make sure yours will fit, otherwise you'll need your own). Also, surprisingly, pretty sturdy and stays in place with small space for setting up the initially clamping, now THAT actually shocked me. Mic stays put and adjusts well. Very satisfied!
You know, I've read some of the reviews below, and I just cannot agree. YES you get what you pay for, but some of the quality issues mentioned by others no longer exist. It may be that the manufacturer also read the comments and did upgrades. I see no way that the post will snap off of the clamp as one buyer had happen. It is a single piece of metal now. And the pop filter clips on beautifully ... like it was made for it, even though they are manufactured by different companies. Really, the only wish I could have is that it was a bit bigger, but again, you get what you pay for.
Holds up extremely well. I'm using with an at2020 and couldn't be happier. Only downside which is a common problem with all mic arms and NOT AT ALL THE PRODUCTS FAULT is make sure your table/desk you're attaching to has squared edges... example [ not ( ... if that makes sense at all haha. My desk has an abnormally rounded edge which the mounting clamp just couldn't grip. Drilled a small wooden block to the edge of my desk to clamp onto, problem solved. Would still recommend this product to anyone.
