I diffuse YL oils every night to help me sleep. I hated getting out of bed to turn the the diffuser on because I forgot to do it before getting in bed. Then I had to get out of bed every night to turn it off. So I searched for a diffuser with a remote and picked this unit. I am very happy with it and am really glad I bought it. I keep the remote on my night stand. Having a remote made all the difference for me! I was using a much higher quality, name brand, expensive diffuser before I bought this unit, but it did not have a remote. This unit has a remote, so I placed the higher quality diffuser in the kitchen because I do not need a remote for the main part of the house.
This diffuser holds a good amount of water for use in a bedroom versus a huge living room and or kitchen. You can turn it on by pressing the left button on the unit, or the button on the remote. The right button on the unit is for lights. I don't use the lights because I like a dark bedroom when sleeping. But all functions can be accessed on the remote: turn the unit on and off, set to diffuse constantly or intermittent, set lights and change colors or turn colors off, and set the timer to turn off in 1 or 2 hours.
The incoming air vent for this unit is on the bottom. This is where the unit sucks in air to diffuse. You will get a better stream of air coming out of the unit if you set the unit on top of something that will allow more air to be sucked in. See my pictures for an example of what I set this diffuser on top of. NOTE: Most diffusers will function better if elevated in this way. I use an apple slicer to elevate all my other diffusers. If you are not sure if you need to elevate your diffuser, here is how to check: while running, pick the diffuser up off the table. Did you hear the motor pulling in more air once you raised it? If yes, that's your sign that you should elevate it.
I use 5-6 drops of oils in this diffuser with a full load of water. I only diffuse for 1-2 hours at bedtime. The next night, I add more water to the fill line and add a few more drops of oil. I do this for up to a week. Then I dump out the water, rinse, and wipe clean with a paper towel. Make sure you clean the little silver disc at the bottom of the inside. If it gets gunked with oils, your diffuser can stop working. If that happens, simply clean the diffuser like I do. You can use a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip to clean the disc. Last night the air coming from the unit smelled a little bit off like it was spoiled. That was when I realized I had not cleaned the unit for weeks! So this morning I dumped out the old water, rinsed, and put some vinegar inside the unit. Then I dumped it out, rinsed, and cleaned with a paper towel. That smell went away. This is a reminder that you need to maintain these units to keep them working optimally. These are meant to be cleaned very often. You can and probably will have problems if you don't properly maintain them.
Excellent diffuser. Nice size. Real bamboo not plastic. Nice stream of mist and it disperses the scent really well. Love having the remote. I have this on a shelf across the room so the remote is great. Last but not least. ... I LOVE THE COLOR CHANGING LIGHT. SUBTLE BUT VERY SOOTHING. I WILL BE BUYING ANOTHER SOON! EXCELLENT QUALITY.
I have several defussers (two name brand ones) and I wanted to purchase one for my office at work. I wanted something inexpensive because defussers can be speedy, so I thought I would give this a try. However, when I tested it at home, I decided to keep this one at home and take its more expensive twin to my office. This defusser works phenomenally!!!! I wish I knew how to do a video review just so you can see the amount of mist it puts out. Hopefully you can see it in the picture. It comes with a measuring cup, really good instructions that are easy to follow and a little sticker on the side for future reference on switching it from continuous to sporadic, 1 or 2 hour lengths. The remote control is icing on the cake. When I wake in the middle of the night after having a bad dream, anxiety or if I just can't sleep... I can just roll over and hit a button to get right back into relaxation. You will not be disappointed with this defusser!
I have six other diffusers, but this is the only one that has a remote which I have found to be quite convenient. The remote works well, but the unit is on my bedside table so I cannot speak as to how well it works over longer distances. I purchased it to use in my bedroom. I wanted a smaller unit that has at least a 2hr timer. This has a 1hr & 2hr setting along with the usual intermittent & continuous operation settings. The lights are minimal which I desired for my bedroom. They can be turned completely off or cycled through all the colors or set on just one color. I have glass units in my other rooms that have beautiful light features. It is a small unit which I prefer over the larger units. Small capacity units will operate for usually 6 to 8 hours on continuous operation. I initially purchased larger units (300ml) when I first became interested in aromatherapy. I quickly discovered that the smaller units were more effective for aromatherapy purposes from my viewpoint. The strongest scent is dispersed over the first 1-2hrs so with the larger volume units it just becomes a humidifier after a few hours. I purchase high quality oils only (Aura Cacia) & use the oils that have the strongest lasting scents for aromatherapy purposes. The bamboo is attractive. The top is easily removed as it just rests on the unit & does not need to be turned to be removed. Essential oils are nature's little miracles. I have obtained excellent health benefits from essential oils. You need to educate yourself on the properties of different oils as some can be hazardous if not used properly. Also certain oils are not recommended during pregnancy. Several are not recommended if you have certain medical conditions (high blood pressure, epilepsy,etc). Aromatherapy does not just make your home smell nice. Essential oils impact your health in many ways. The power of aromatherapy cannot be underestimated as far as affecting your emotions. Also, the oils are dispersed into the air with the nebulizer which allows the oils to enter the body through your lungs for maximum impact.
No more Glade Plugins. No more Scentsy. No more Pier 1. No more oil heating lamps. No more reed diffusers. No more potpourri. No more Febreze. Finally done wasting money on all that ****.
Our beachside home, which has long smelled...beachy, to put it politely...now smells like Roses. Or Gardenias. Or Lilacs. Or whatever other lovely oil we pour a few drops of into this glorious little device. It's made of REAL bamboo, so it won't peel and chip like those other equivalently priced diffusers, and its zen-modern simplicity is actually quite beautiful. The remote works flawlessly, the device shuts itself off when it runs out of water, the instructions are clear and concise, there's a great little mini-reference tag on the side of the device so you don't have to pull out the instructions to remember the light-color-coded modes; seriously, this thing is a joy to own, and some of the best money you can spend for your home. I don't say that lightly, as I have champagne taste on a modest budget, and am very critical of quality. This is an unequivocal win.
Syntus: if you're listening, here are a few suggestions. This device is brilliant, but you want to expand your sales? One, KEEP THIS DEVICE AS IT IS. Don't feel the need to mess with it much, as it's a phenomenal product. I would suggest, however, offering another model with a built-in battery so that it can go cordless to anywhere in the house. I would also make that model, or an additional one that is larger, with a greater capacity so it only needs to be filled once in a blue moon. Finally, I'm not supremely fond of the white power cord, as it's kind of tough to conceal. Not sure what to do about that, but there it is (though black might be a little less conspicuous). Anyway, make one of these twice the size with a rechargeable onboard battery, and immediately send me the listing so that I can buy one (or three...or one for every room). That said, keep killing it, this product is absolutely extraordinary.

Well made. In my kitchen. I want another one for my livingroom. I have a mom with copd and a 40 year old yellow naped Amazon so not only is it great smelling/non toxic, its therapeutic as well!!!
I love this diffuser, the remote works well and it last a long time. It looks great it performs great!!! I can not say anything bad about it. The price was great, I sleep better now and I believe it's due to this diffuser next to my bed. I love the fact that it's quiet and shuts off by itself when it runs out of water in the tank. I'm so excited about it I've told everyone about it and I know they're sick of it, but some are asking about it.
Works as described. I like the multi-function choices. It's easy to use, looks attractive, and fits in smaller spaces. Seems to be holding up well. The only negative is that mold can form under the plastic on the interior of the top. There is no way to get at that area to clean it carefully. I'm planning to buy a second one since this is intended to cover only a small area.

Take it down to fill it with water before I’d step on a stool to press on or off now I keep the remote on my Night stand and I can turn on my Lavender before bed . I would highly recommend this diffuser.
