At the end of the day, a Tempered Glass Screen Protector is what it is. No matter which brand you go with, it is going to add a layer of protection so that if you drop your phone and it hits screen first, the screen protector cracks so your phone glass doesn't. The real game changer is when a company adds tools to make your installation go smoothly. A+ to XDesign for doing just that.
I used to work at an AT&T Store, and we had some novel techniques for putting on screen protectors without creating excess bubbles or getting dust underneath the protector (generally involving lots of wasted tape), but honestly, this was the easiest, quickest, most successful installation I have ever had. My wife even pointed out how fast the installation went after I was done because she's used to me having to rig something up to get all of the edges to line up perfectly (I'm a bit anal about this). On this though, all I had to do was clean the phone surface well, get the remaining dust off with a bit of tape, clip the phone into the guide, remove the plastic sheet from the screen protector and place it into the guide in the right direction. The guide is precise enough that there is almost no play on the screen, and in one try, I got the protector to apply bubble and dust free. Only time will tell how the oil-resistant coating holds up, but at least I have 3 of them.
Just arrived, thanks, Prime, and installed in about 4 minutes. I didn’t see any recent reviews so I’m compelled. These glass screen protectors are such an important accessory and some interesting developments. I’ve been using them for at least five yrs, and the best solution to prevent breakage to your phones original glass screen. Installation used to be a bear, wet or dry, misalignment and that piece of lint, were too common. Then came custom sizing to fit all phones, and ultra thin, tempered, smearing, a real science developed. Now, you search for your phone model, and they all look the same as far as quality and features. Is it really gonna do what you want? I want a very thin glass cover with perfect cut outs for my iPhone X (purchased 10/2018), which I hardly know is there, once it’s installed, and my minimalistic iPhone leather case fits with. I also want it to install easy, and no bubbles. I saw single glass protectors in $20, and didn’t have my model in stock. For $8.99 you get not one but 3 screen protectors. The kit has everything you need. The wet wipe provided wasn’t ‘wet’ but wasn’t a show stopper since my protected glass was covered and pretty much clean. So I did a dry wipe thoroughly with the sticker to remove any debris. The moment was calm,I actually did it outside. With the snap on guide, it was done and perfect! Ample fit and cut outs and case works fine with it! Just be confident and try- if it works you’re ahead of the game, if not, try try again. Totally worth it!
The screen protectors were packaged very carefully in a sturdy box. Installation was quite simple and effective. Cleaned and dried the screen with the provided wipes, then lightly touched the screen with the adhesive backed pad to remove any dust. Used the sticky backed tabs to hold the screen protector, snapped the alignment tool in place and was able to perfectly align and install the screen protector. It immediately started to bond to the surface. At first, there were some bubbles. I was able to get rid of all but two small ones (about 0.5 cm diameter). Within 30 minutes, they were gone! The screen protectors look and work well with no apparant degredation of the display and no impact on touch function or sensitivity. Covers 99% of the screen and doesn't interfere with my case. Since the screen protector is glass, it is also easy to clean and looks really good.
This is a good screen protector. It does what it’s supposed to do and protects your phone from scratches and cracks. It was super easy to install and a really good value! Unfortunately, these all have the same problem: they all start lifting and peeling after only about 6 weeks of use! I’ve applied my protectors perfectly (no bubbles) every time, and they always start lifting on the right side and top right corner less than two months later. I thought it was just a fluke, but all three in the pack did the same thing. I’ve had other brands where this wasn’t a problem. For the price, they’re still worth buying and just replacing when the bubbles start showing up, but it’s annoying. Better than being unprotected, though!
This screen rocks! Easy to apply without bubbles, perfect fit, touchscreen functions perfectly! And to top it off you get 3 screen protector packages (wipes, etc) for a fraction of the price of similar items in retail stores! Must be the most easy glass installation I ever had with this iPhone protective glasses, I been using this glasses for many years now and they're fantastic, but sometimes they're hard to align and the final result is bad. Two of this glasses broke and I write them about the weird circunstancies that lead to the glasses to broke, they understand, they asked me to send them pictures and I did, few days later I receive a replacement product. I love when companies uphold their promise to customers and this seller did just that. Excellent customer service and products!
I’m not sure what “ scratch resistant “ is supposed to mean but I definitely had many scratches on my screen protectors before. I’m on my second screen protector now and it already has a scratch right in the middle of the screen. I’m a careful person and I never drop my phone but when I put my phone inside of my backpack, it may come in contact with some sharp object. The aligner case thingy that helps align the screen protector with your phone helps a lot but I wish it was more defined. Im glad it came with multiple and had the wipes too! I always have trouble with not getting any dust on my screen when applying but that’s the hardest part in general so it doesn’t affect this certain product. It works well and I love the purchase.
Coming in at lower than $2.66 per protector, these are a great deal! I ordered these the first time when I preordered my iPhone XS, and then ordered a second set a few weeks ago (recently moved, it was hiding). The first protector saved my phone's life. I was at a bar with a friend, no case on my phone, and when I went to the bathroom, my phone fell out of my pocket and banged against the toilet before hitting the ground. My phone did get a scuff on the side metal edge, but my screen was saved. The protector cracked in two places, including a small chip in the top right corner, but considering how hard it hit the brick floor, I'm genuinely surprised that there wasn't more damage. Love these so much, best protectors I've ever used!
These screen protectors have been awesome! They came as a three pack and I only needed one, but I figured it would be good to have a a couple of backups if needed. I don't think that is going to be the case. It has protected my phone's screen amazingly and fits perfectly. I haven't had any issues with using my phone's screen (either through touch or visually). The install was so easy! They include everything you need to install the screen, including a "guide" that allows you to place it on exactly right. As long as you follow the simple step-by-step instructions that are included you shouldn't have any problems. I highly recommend these!
I just installed the XDesign iPhone X screen protector and everything seems just fine. The screen is clear(no bubbles, no rainbow) and touch sensitivity has not changed. Installation was easy． I followed their instructions and had no problems. I would suggest, however, that they add instructions on using the guide stickers as I think that makes installation even easier. They provide the guide stickers but do not instruct in how to use them. I went on you tube and watched a generic video on installing glass screen protectors which showed how to use the guide stickers. I felt they added to the ease of installation. As I just installed the screen protector, I cannot attest to the scratch resistance of the glass or it’s durability. I am expecting both to be excellent, as most of the reviews seems to suggest this. I will write an updated review if anything changes, but as of now I am very happy with this product.
