These are bright and fun, a great small size for kids and they have a great signal. The only issue that we have had is that the button to change frequency is right where a kid naturally puts their thumb to hold on to the talkie. The LOs have had a bit of frustration when they unintentionally change the frequency and don't know why they can't hear one another
I have been looking for a while now for quality Walkie talkies and I'm glad I found these...my kids are on it all day playing cops and robbers.
I just used the while I was in Disneyland to communicate with my kids and boy was it a life saver...got clear signal each time and made my trip very enjoyable... Kidzlane rocks!!!

These are nice Walkie Talkies for our kids (ages 3.5 and 5). Both are able to operate the radios and change channels just fine.
There is only 1 small design flaw if intended for use with smaller hands. The little ones tend to grip the radio in the narrow area when squeezing the PTT button down to speak. What usually happens is their fingers then overlap the channel button and cause an unwanted channel change. It has taken a few days to get the little ones to pay attention to that and just roll back to the desired channel to resume communications. I did not lower the rating because of any 'operator limitation' but it is an annoyance even to me, though it does not impact me when using the radio. Sometimes, things don't make sense and this is 1 of those little things which could maybe be improved.
Being young and their 1st transceivers which actually work, our kids did need 1 to 2 minutes orientation. Now they are little communicating monsters and having a great time.
To operate, it really is simple. There is a 3-position flip-switch no the side representing OFF/Lo/High. The frequency choice being by color, powers on in green, can be changed to blue, red and then it will cycle back to green. It will be simple to upgrade them later from 'color' to 'number' for the usual style of walkie.
Can't speak to durability yet. I can say the radio's have been dropped a number of times on the porch, bounced down the stairs and generally take a slight beating as with many kid toys do. Though I would NEVER expect any future potential breakage from same to be covered by any warranty at all, the radios are appreciatively holding up well so far.
Range is decent. But, as with any other radio frequency, there is always opportunities for interference and a ton of radio communications technicalities which I won't put here to cause any confusion.
These Walkie Talkies are great! the voices come through loud and clear! I like how you need to use a screw driver to access the batteries. These are made very sturdy, to withstand rough handling.
Units work find, only problem is location of channel button,too easy for kids to accidentally push. Then units don't work when on different channel. Bought these for our 3 year old grandson and need to figure a way to keep them on same channel. Maybe just super glue so can't be changed.

These are very well made! Here's what I really like about them:
- they have 3 channels that are color coded by pressing the color button on the side. The kids can say "I'm on blue channel".
- the unit is made for small hands. One handed operation for kids.
- the unit is sturdy. I'd bet it will handle a few drops.
- it only takes 3 -AAA batteries.
- the reception is clear and isn't garbled.
This feels like high quality electronics in a kids package. I love this so much, I'll likely get some for the parents so that we can talk to the kids too.
The only thing that would make this better is if it was waterproof.
My son opened them and got to talking right away with his dad. Very clear transmissions, tested--so far--from one side of the house to the other. Now to add some real (supervised) distance and see what we talk about!

I ordered these for my niece and they were an instant hit, however the other reviews did mention the side button being a problem as it sits right were a little hand/thumb grasps. This is true...little problematic.
Grandson opened package with WTs and sent up a 'hurrah.' He's 4, and a dinosaur hunter. He specifically asked for the WTs plus binoculars. His hands were big enough to manage the WT, and he quickly learned how to use them. I am very happy with them, and love his reaction! He played with them all evening on Christmas Eve.
