We bought 1 each for our 4, 6 and 7 year olds, in different colors. While this could be seen as a younger child's toy, they use their stick horses in complex imagination games where they are taking care of horses in their stables, the horses have names, have to go to the vet, need grooming, go to horse shows, etc, so it has really been a great addition to their play times and we're so glad.
Revised: Id like to add to my previous review. Although the toy doesn't get daily play, my daughter does keep coming back to this unicorn pony every few weeks and has a great time with it. So I'll keep a firm 4 stars.
I struggled on how to rate this, and if I should rate a 3 or 4 stars. The product is of a good quality and is cute but didn't really captivate my child (3 year old) too long. She's played with only once since Christmas in the last 6 months. Other than that, it's a good product quality wise and makes noise if you press on the ear.

Bought it for my 3 year old cowboy grandson. It's still a bit large/awkward for him to play with but it's very cute. The sounds are great too.
Unicorn makes clip/clop sounds like other horses. But has magic fairy dust sound from other ear instead of neighing sound. Plush is thick. Unicorn horn is stiff but not hard in case of fall. Strap is velcro connection which will break in event child traps neck in strap. Perfect toy for imagination & physical activity. Also,all giddy up sticks are Parent's Choice award winner item, June 2014 release date. I am buying more for gifts.
I got this for my daughter as a potty training incentive. She loves it!! She’s obsessed with horses, so she was very excited to get her unicorn. The sounds are cute (and not too annoying for parents) and it seems to be constructed well. The strap is Velcro and comes apart easily, which is annoying to a 2 year old, but not a deal breaker. We have wood floors, so I ended up using some pink felt on the bottom of the stick because it was leaving marks on the floor.

My four year old decided that for Halloween, she wanted to be a Unicorn Cowgirl. No joke. But because I am used to these wacky hybrid costumes, I rolled with it and got her a cowgirl costume and this unicorn on a stick. It fit the bill perfectly. She loved it and still plays with it just about every day. Its ears make noise if you squeeze them, but not anything obnoxious, which is important to me. Great purchase.
The head of the horse is attached very well and has no wiggle. Both ears have a button you can press to make a different sound. One ear makes the running sound and the other ear makes the neighing sound. The rein on the horse has a velcro opening right in the center between where the hands will be placed. While I actually find that annoying because it keeps coming apart when tugged too hard, I understand it's there for safety reasons.
I deducted one star because it appears back in the factory they tried to put the left eye in the wrong place. While the left eye is in the correct position when we received it, there is still a very round imprint right below it that cannot be smoothed away.
My little one loves it.
Wow. My daughter has really enjoyed this little pony. Each ear has a button for sounds and the wooden stick is very sturdy. Honestly, I would never have thought to purchase an item like this for my daughter but she asked me for one. I looked through all the options and noticed some of the other ponies had plastic sticks. They may be fine, but I preferred the wood stick. This stick is solid wood with a little plastic cap on the end. I’m not sure the plastic cap saves your floors but it probably protects the stick pretty well.
The pony is a pretty pink with a short pink glittery rein. It’s the perfect height for my tall 6 year old. She’s approx 44” tall and she’s able to comfortably use this pony without dragging it on the floor. But it’s not short either. I was worried some of the shorter ponies would be tough to manage for a bigger child.
My daughter just loves this pony and I’m so thrilled since it’s an activity toy.
The packaging was quite beat up by the time it arrived to me but the pony was unharmed. Great purchase!
This thing is amazing with one press on the ear your child will want to hop around fueled by the music like a scene from DJANGO UNCHAINED. Wood pole is preferred but this plastic one is quality and u can cut it down so I gave the bloody toy 5 stars because of the plastic it can be cut. I also gave it 5 stars because it's just such a cute little horse. I can't wait to give it to my son and his husband for their child.
My niece absolutely adores this ride on unicorn. I couldn’t figure out how to make the thing make noise, but somehow it does? I only know that because it went off by itself one time before I gifted it to her. If you know a young girl that is obsessed with unicorns, this ride on unicorn is the perfect gift!
