Bought this subscription for my mom - for Mother's Day. She called to thank me -RAVED on the phone. She said she LOVES IT - read it cover to cover in one sitting. It is EXACTLY what she needed - so many new ideas. She has been trying to eat for a bad kidney (and she only has one) and now diagnosed with Diabetes. So eating ideas are VERY important to her. My mom calls it as she sees it, good or bad. %This magazine is definitely GOOD with caps.
I love this magazine. Over the years it has introduced me to many foods I might not have tried without reading this magazine. I also love reading the about backgrounds of recipes or the societies that they originated in. Great food/recipe magazine, and even better since most of the recipes are from scratch (my dietary needs mean I can't eat a lot of canned or premixed foods). I have faves from EW I make every year for special occassions!
Mouth watering photos and recipes. Very user friendly. Most recipes do not use exotic ingredients so you can easily make what inspires you from the photos. Nice hints and useful information provided in articles. Expands the repertoire of healthy recipes. Friend saw magazine at my house and has ordered it for her daughter who has food concerns. Win win!!!
Just received the first issue, and extremely pleased with the assorted recipes. Most of the recipes had ingredients that I already had on hand, which is great for a person who loves to cook without the gourmet hoopla. Loved it, can't wait for the next issue!
I really enjoy this magazine its one of the few I read from cover to cover. Its definitely about food but its more than that it is about eating well, enjoying food and the experience. The recipes and meal ideas are wonderful. You learn so much about eating.

I really enjoy this magazine, it teaches me about foods that I have no clue what to do with. A lot of the recipes in it are costly unfortunately but I really enjoy reading it just the same. Have learned a lot of skills About flavor profiles from it.
In an effort to provide lighter, healthier meals for my family, I did some research and found the Eating Well website. I then ordered a new subscription to their Eating Well magazine. It is only $5 for one year and the minute I received my first copy, I knew it was worth much more! I especially loved all the recipes that can be made in a hurry and with just the right amount of ingredients. The menus presented had great variety and the pictures will make your mouth water! There were exercise tips, diet reviews, and so much more. Eating Well also has a "thank you" plan, where you can get subscriptions for friends and family at the same $5 for an entire year. That way, everyone can get healthy together!
I enjoy reading cooking magazines, and this is one of my favorites. I like the articles and the variety of recipes. Everyone in my household likes different foods so I'm always trying new things. Although I don't often follow recipes exactly, I get tons of ideas from magazines like this.
Eating well has a great recipe index in front so it's easy to find what I'm looking for. Since I prefer to eat meatless, I appreciate the "vegetarian" section, but there's plenty of fish and meat recipes too. I can't say every recipe is wonderful, but there are many to choose from and I always find several I like. The desserts are very creative and all the recipes focus on what's in season.
The articles are well selected and written. This month's articles included a review of the "fast diet", the run down on energy drinks, a story of a man preserving heirloom beans, and an article pointing out some ways to vary the grains in your diet. There were several others as well.
This is a great magazine for foodies, weight watchers or anyone who enjoys a good food magazine.

You can get magazine subscriptions for super cheap with Amazon on their "daily deals" they rotate the featured magazines daily but it will be back on there in a few days. You need to go back into your subscriptions and click "Do not Autorenew" OR ELSE it will renew it whenever it runs out automatically for whatever the price shown is, not the "daily deal" (AKA dirt cheap) price. To save recipes from magazines, I have a big binder with section dividers and tons of clear page sleeves. This makes recipes easy to thumb through and prevents the pages from getting dirty as I'm cooking and touch the recipe.

Recipe directions are clear, fast to make and delish! Articles sound and interesting. I was having a hard time loosing Cooking Light but am completely happy with EatingWell. Try it.
