Finally - I don't have to buy any type of exfoliator (cream or liquid) that claims to remove dead skin. This lava stone does. And another thing ... how many times over a few decades did I buy "pumice stones" that looked like bricks, were light in color and did nothing to remove dead skin from my feet? Now that I have this brown nubby rock, I don't have to buy anything else. Just soak your feet and rub them with the pumice stone to remove dead skin. Be careful not to rub too hard or you could chafe your skin. Follow up with a good, natural oil or cream as an emollient.

I have no idea if this is actually real lava pumice, but it certainly seems to be to my non-expert eye. What's most important is that it works like real pumice. It's abrasive, but doesn't cut the softer skin around your calluses. I waited a couple of weeks before posting any review to be able to remark on its effectiveness. It's definitely controlling callus build-up on my foot and I've had no problems with any injury.

Received this yesterday. Took a shower and plugged the drain so my feet would get a nice soak. I put body wash on my feet and scrubbed away. I don't just have a few dry spots. I have been going barefoot my whole life. I can walk on hot pavement, rocks even broken glass . It;s like having combat boots on. I have recently become diabetic. Needless to say, my barefoot days are behind me but now I have a new problem, my left foot is a size 9 and due to the front part of my foot being amputated, my right foot is a 5 but I am still building calluses at an alarming rate. This made even my horrible feet baby soft in ONE USE.

For past 2 years I constantly battled with my dry and dehydrated skin. I had really dry feet, always cracked dry dead skin no matter the Season.

Here’s the trick that’s been working for me:
1. Cut 1 lemon in half and rub all over the bottom of my feet
2. Soak feet in Hot water and listerine for 30 minutes minimum
3. rub my feet with other lemon half.
4. Use Pumice Stone (rub in circular motion)
5. Dry your feet and apply moisturizing lotion followed by a dime size amount of vaseline(will assist in sealing moisture). Wear socks right after for a minimum of 3-4 hours, I do this right before bed and in the morning I have the softest feet for weeks!

I absolutely love this! It works extremely well on my feet. Heels and pads. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now at the end of my shower (giving my feet time to soak). I do use these little gel healing socks after but with the combination of using the pumice stone and the socks, my feet have been so soft lately. I've actually started using the stone on other areas of my body that tend to need a little exfoliation. Backs if my arms and my upper thighs. I do rub the stone very gently on my arms and legs and go in circular motions. It's done wonders those places too! Do recommend!
I have used the stone a couple of times and it has worked well! I've never had a pumice stone before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The size is large, it takes up most of the palm of my hand. It is gentle but does the job of sloughing off the unwanted toughened skin. I used it in the shower so the skin would be softer and my feet look and feel nicer.
