Taste of Home

I really like this magazine, I ended up subscribing to it in print. I've made several recipes from the two trail issues I received and everything turned out delish!

I really like that this magazine doesn't have anything in it but recipes. Plus an all picture index of every recipe in the whole magazine, right up front. No articles to eat clean or healthy or buy some fancy gizmos or stuff.

Just a few of these gathered recommendations that are really ads that help support the magazine. You know the sort? Fancy plates or napkin rings or some sort of kitchen fu. Easily skipped.

I wasn't expecting a lot of recipes from all of the reviews that were negative. So I was pleasantly surprised when my first issue arrived. I enjoyed it very much. I agree it could be thicker, but I won't let that stop me from liking it.

this is a magazine for people who generally use shortcuts to get their cooking done. I actually ordered this by mistake: meant to purchase Cooks Illustrated...my bad.

I guess is good for people on a tight schedule, or maybe are newer to cooking and baking. I like to do most everything from scratch, and like a bit more advanced approach to cooking. But, as I said, probably great for beginners!

Ever get frustrated with recipe magazines and their ingredients that you have to google? Taste of Home has down-home recipe's that are easy to understand, and delicious. Just like mother used to make. Highly recommend.

I love this magazine, it is my all time favorite subscription. There are so many recipes in Taste of Home that become a staple in my meal rotation.

    Description

Taste of Home America s #1 cooking magazine! Enjoy 100+ home-style recipes and tips, each a kitchen-tested family favorite made with everyday ingredients. Plus color photos of every recipe, cost-saving menus, healthy-choice dishes, casual entertaining ideas and more.

If you're looking for a Recipe Magazine that doesn't require a professional kitchen, then this is it! I ordered 4 or 5 different magazines and most had recipes that were beyond what I could cook in my home kitchen. Many seemed to be aimed towards professional chefs. This was the winner. It's jam packed with great recipes and they were all stuff that I could make at home with no troubles! I didn't even realize it was a Readers Digest product until I started to write my review and it was pointed out in the wording under the title name. Makes sense though. Readers Digest has always stood for quality! Anyways, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

    Love this magazine!!!

INSIDER SECRET: Don't pay full price for this. You can get magazine subscriptions for super cheap with Amazon on their "daily deals" they rotate the featured magazines daily but it will be back on there in a few days. You need to go back into your subscriptions and click "Do not Autorenew" OR ELSE it will renew it whenever it runs out automatically for whatever the price shown is, not the "daily deal" (AKA dirt cheap) price. Enjoy your new magazines :-)

To save recipes from magazines, I have a big binder with section dividers and tons of clear page sleeves. This makes recipes easy to thumb through and prevents the pages from getting dirty as I'm cooking and touch the recipe.

I was an original subscriber to Taste of Home years ago, and loved it. After they changed the look of the magazine and the way they presented recipes {recipe cards with pictures} I quit taking it. It is not as good as it used to be, and I will not renew.
