Just received our HR & Oxygen Saturation monitor in the mail yesterday. It came in an awesome thoroughly padded box! It even came with a lanyard and padded sleeve to keep on it if you want (see photo). I couldn't figure out how to turn it on at first- silly me, there's one of those battery protector pieces of tape you pull that turns the battery on. So pulled the tape, and hit the power button and it fired right up! Works great! Tried it on everyone in the family, my 2 year old found it especially exciting. As a respiratory therapist with and ICU nurse husband we manually were checking HRs to check it's accuracy and it was dead on every time! Even through nail polish, which sometimes other monitors can have a hard time with. Love that it comes with an extended 1 year warranty and was purple making it easy to find! Exactly what I was looking for and at a GREAT price!
This pulse oximetry monitor is good - depending what your needs are for it. If you need a way to accurately measure pulse oximetry or pulse, this product is perfect. I do not recommend it if you need quick results (if you are a nurse, physician, respiratory therapist, etc.) as it can take some 10+ seconds to display these numbers - which frankly, is too long in emergent situations. However, it works fine for home use or routine monitoring of these things.
Additionally, the customer service of this company is great. I was unhappy with this product for my needs and they contacted me right away, recommending another monitor that may be better for my needs as a nurse (and sending it to me free of cost!). I would buy other products from this company, solely based on their customer service. I received my new one (different model) today and was happy with how quick it was.

I purchased this as a gift for a family member who has recently been put on oxygen at home. Insurance provided a concentrator but no way for her to check her levels, which seems odd to me. Anyway, I figured I would purchase two so that I could have one at my house if she comes to visit and I bought two different brands through Amazon for comparison. The Zacurate is the one that I am going to give away because its operation is simpler and I like that it has a quality silicone cover to help prevent damage from small bumps as it will get more use than the monitor that I will keep at my house.
Side by side on different fingers of the same hand, both monitors read the same O2 saturation, so I assume it is accurate. Accurate enough for our purposes in any case.
I think the Zacurate monitor was a good buy with some nice color options and simple operation.

I have persistent AFIB caused by sleep apnea so I use this pulse ox daily. Very handy and easy to use with quick results. Just make sure you read the directions about finger placement. Poor technique can yield some crazy readings. I rate it as a strong buy and excellent value.
This is an update on my original 2-star review. The manufacturer quickly sent a replacement unit and it performs perfectly. The unit itself is a quality product and now I can highly recommend it.
The first one was obviously defective which can happen with any supplier. I am impressed that the manufacturer was so prompt in calling me and rushing out a new unit.
btw: The Amazon return process is amazingly expeditious. Literally within hours of printing the return label and handing the item to be returned to a UPS driver, the credit was applied to my account. Unmatched customer service.
The first sample I got was a useless toy. Readings are unstable (from 90 to 96 and back to 90), readings depend on what position of the finger is used (nail to the side of the transmitter or vice verse), Readings are much different from the oximeter which was compared with professional one in medical office.
Additional information:
I returned the device to Amazon for the full refund, but later was contacted by "Med Shop & Beyond" for permission to send me another sample of the pulse oximeter for evaluation. Today I got it, and the this sample of the device is works perfectly. Stable and correct readings (I compared it with the GO2 pulse oximeter which I have tested in medical office), which don't depend on orientation of the finger in the device.
So, the Company needs to pay more attention to quality control, but the design and implementation of the device is good.
