This works great! I wore my other one out after one year. It has the perfect weight and balance, plus the handle is ergonomically correct. Makes my work a whole lot easier.

I use tape gun hours on end and try couple of other gun to. By far it best one I use. You use less effort. Light weight gripping handle. Easy dispening of tape with safe blade cutter only cute when flat flap press on the box But it would be nice if there was a option to go back to fix blade. 3m are nice tape gun .
This is simply the best and easiest tape dispenser. That's why it's so expensive. It's worth it though to avoid the hassle of tangled tape or wasted tape that wouldn't be cut off at the right spot. This one has no handle and istead has a flap that you hold down when you want to cut the tape off and let go of when you want the tape to roll. It may take a few minutes to get over the fact that there's no handle, but after that, it's really the superior and more efficient method. That's why it's made by 3M :-)
To save a little money, I buy Scotch packaging tape in 6-roll packages (each roll is about 1.9 inches wide by 55 yards long; see Scotch DP-1000RF6 Packaging Tape). This means I need a good quality tape dispenser. I've tried reusing the dispensers that come with single rolls (e.g., Scotch Packaging Tape with Reusable Dispenser), but the dispensers are hard to reload, and they eventually break with reuse.
This SCOTCH H122 BOX SEALING TAPE DISPENSER is a particularly nice dispenser. The brake (the part that extends over the roll of tape) flips up so that a new roll of tape just slides in. The dispenser itself has wide prongs below the brake that capture the cut end of the tape really well. The tape is always ready for the next use--there's no need to pick at the roll to locate the cut end!
