Not the most pleasant smell by my opinion, but used this to wash my kids clothes all spring through fall of 2016 due to the issue with deer ticks in northeastern PA (did reaseach to find out they do not like the scent of geraniums). Before using this detergent, I pulled several ticks off of my son who loves to play outdoors and in the woods. After using this detergent - I didn't see any. We also use babyganics bug spray religiously when outdoors. .. but I have to give credit to this detergent. I am buying it right now for use again this year!!
This stuff is awesome. My baby broke out from tide and gain, so we use this and honestly it works so great on stains and odor. It is scent less and got blueberry stains out of a white tshirt that I washed a day later!! You don't need much either. Ultra concentrated.
This stuff is so weird. It works. It gets out stains. Leaves no residue behind and makes me feel better about what’s coming into contact with my children’s skin. It’s just weird it has no smell. For my whole life, smell was equal to cleanliness. Is this shirt dirty? I don’t know, what’s it smell like? Is out the window. Everything just smells like cloth. Lol
I have sensitive skin and have been using this detergent for years. I like how it does not have a strong scent and always gets tough stains out of my clothes. I even trusted this detergent with my newborn daughter's clothing and other washable items.
I bought it because I suspected that my skin was itchy and irritated due to allergical reaction with our previous detergent and/or fryer sheets. Since I started to use this one, it seems that my allergy went away, but it is difficult to say of this was the only factor. This detergent requires smaller volume (concentrated) and seems to clean well.

My laundry comes out feeling clean and smelling lovely. We have been using Free & Clear for years. It works on absolutely all stains except the rare ones for which you really need bleach. It is absolutely scent free and hypoallergenic. It also has the words GLUTEN FREE in small print on the back. Furthermore, the company website indicates that they have NEVER tested on animals; they use human volunteers. Awesome!
I love love love this brand! The laundry detergent is perfect! I have ultra sensitive skin and react to every other thing, but not seventh generation. This was the first time I ventured away from non scented or original scent and I didn't react and it smells pretty good! It's a little strong considering I'm use to no smell on my fabrics lol
Very effective detergent in my He washer. I've used it for many different types of loads and I really like that it doesn't have a fragrance and is more sustainable. I can't tell a difference in cleanliness between this and tide. The bottles are smaller than traditional detergent bottles in the store and they were shipped with tape on the cap to prevent leaks.
No complaints, 2 years... what else can you say does that? Yet I never gave it a second thought till this morning's mayhem. I came down with what I thought was an annoying head cold but turned out to be a phlegmy pain in the mess, spent the day at work wondering how often I could blow my nose before I actually blew it into a tissue... apparently I got close. Took a solid dose of Nyquil and off to bed. When I woke up it was to a phlegmy, bloody mess. I don't know how I managed to get it all over the top of the fitted bamboo sheet but my first thought was, " oh that sets done... New dog blanket." Being slightly freaked out and not used to sneezing/coughing myself awake at 5 am I cleaned myself up, promptly forgetting to pretreat my sheets and trotted off to the urgent care, (the big scaredy cat is fine by the way, I just tore some sensitive tissue blowing my nose too hard.) got my all clear and came home to clean up. Pre treated with a dose of shout and a normal dose of seventh generation. Wasn't hoping for much more than salvaging a new dog blanket, didn't even bother to check it out of the washer or dryer just folding it up into a comfy mat when I noticed there was no stain. Dried blood and head sick, literally ground in and left to sit for hours and no hint of it.
Give credit to the shout pretreatment I'm sure but no way THAT horrific set in mess came out without a solid team effort. Saved my most comfy sheets.
