I purchased these for my son as part of a graduation gift from college. Being a college student he cooks a lot at home and he loves these utensils.
I wasn't so sure about ordering these after reading a couple of the negative reviews. Some of the negative reviews said they were very thin and bent easily. These will last you a long time. I am very pleased with these utensils and would recommend them to anyone who has been wanting to switch from the cheap and toxic plastic sets but can't afford the 15 for stainless steel utensils you typically see them for.
They are somewhat thin, but much better than the big box store quality.If you want something cheap but utilitarian then this utensil set is for you. It isn't particularly heavy, but it is heavy enough that it doesn't bend easily. I wash these a few times a week in the dishwasher, and no rust or spotting problems so far.
I like that there is a hole on the top for hanging them also.
These aren't the highest quality, but overall, especially at this price, they are good utensils and I would buy them again.
I was skeptical as to what a $10 set of Stainless Steel utensils would get me. I anticipated the worst, but came away quite happy. Let's be honest; you do get what you pay for to a degree. The handles are flat and not ergonomic. The thin shape does mean that the heat will transfer to the handle a bit quicker than some might like; don't leave these in a boiling bot or heated skillet because you might burn yourself on the handle.
That aside, this is fantastic value. The tools themselves feel very sturdy. The variety of utensils is great; I find it hard to find a $10 set that includes a skimmer. I found the ring that attaches them all together to be fairly useless, but I like that the handles have an opening so they can be hung from hooks.
If you are worried that these will fall apart have no fear. These are well made stainless steel utensils. If you need more features like ergonomic handles this set will probably disappoint.
Overall this is a 4 star product, but at a 5 star value.
I love this utensil set. I am trying to slowly replace all of my plastic pieces with stainless steel and wood. This set works absolutely great. Extremely durable. The handles are long enough to work in larger pots. FYI, the spatula is a little bigger, so it does not work well in small pans, especially if you are trying to flip a pancake. Just use a larger pan to accommodate the spatula.

It's difficult to know how to rate this set. Is it the quality that one would find at a restaurant supply store, something like Vollrath? No. But then Vollrath, which is 18 gauge, costs a heck of a lot more. Are they better than what you'd find at a dollar store? Yes. Whether or not you'll be happy with them will depend on the intended use. For soups or stews or flipping burgers or pancakes, sure. For lifting a ham bone that you've been boiling out of a pot, maybe not. But then if you do a lot of that sort of thing, you probably have a large fork of some sort that you use.
On the other hand, these are 9.99, which is even less than Amco charges through its website (16.50), which doesn't matter if they're not going to work at all, but, they will, at least for medium-duty work, which constitutes the bulk of what we do in the kitchen on a daily basis.
It is what Amco says it is: a starter kit for a beginner cook. So, four stars.
This is a really nice set of quality utensils. I have no complaints about the item itself -they arrived undamaged, clean, shiny, and you really can't beat the price. My only negative is they arrived (with other items I ordered) just in a plastic bag and held together by tape or a twisty tie or something similar. Each utensil was individually wrapped in plastic as well (within this larger bag) to prevent scratching or damage.I am glad about that part, however this was intended to be a Christmas gift for my Mom, so I had to find another box and wrap it up as such and not make it look like I just randomly found these and created a set myself. Its really not a big deal, but don't expect it to arrive in a box - instead, expect it to be thrown in there with the other Amazon items you order LOL. Overall, the item itself is of good quality and she really loved them when she opened them.
I love these utensils. I've had them for several months now and they are holding up beautifully. They have slightly longer handles than a lot of my old utensils, which is nice when I'm using them in the larger pots, but the handles aren't so long that they get in the way.
I've used them really heavily already and they've been through many dishwasher loads, sat in water and been exposed to lots of heat, etc. So far, they look as good as the day I purchased them.
After getting these stainless steel utensils, I will NEVER go back to plastic again.
These are great for the price. The edges are fairly smooth and we use them with nonstick pots, though with some care. The handles are rigid and do not bend much. We dont find much use for the oil strainer/skimmer and slotted spoon, I wish they had a set with an extra regular spoon or spatula. The ladle is huge and useful as a weapon in an emergency.

I hate wooden utensils as I think they soak up oil and gravy, and cannot be thoroughly cleaned. Plastic is a no-no because I have seen it peel with use. Steel is the best, but requires care when used with non stick pots.
I'll keep this brief. If you know how to cook relatively well, you are likely using stainless pans. And if you are, then there is no reason to be using nylon or even silicone utensils. You need good stainless utensils, and these are the ones you need. For this very price, you likely won't find any other complete set of this quality. These are professional grade, the kind used in commercial kitchens. If they can stand up to repeat use in the hot, fast-paced environment of a restaurant, they'll do just fine for you and your family.
