Gas One 4FT High Pressure Propane 0-20 PSI Adjustable Regulator with 4ft QCC-1 type Hose - CSA Certified - Works With Newer U.S. Propane Tanks

Recently I noticed food taking extra long to cook even with my grill set to high. This has happened before and I've found spiders inside the burner inlet blocking air/propane but this time there were no spiders. I checked the burners and decided after years of use it was time to replace them. Still this didn't fix the slow cooking. Even with new tanks the flame was low and I noticed the grill knobs had hardly any affect on the flame between low and high, I knew it had to be the regulator. Searching the web this seemed like the best deal and had the added bonus of being adjustable. Installation took about five minutes and my grill came back to life. Grill is now 100x times better and hopefully will last many more years.

Works as advertised. My two-ring grill came with a low pressure regulator that never produced a robust flame. There was a time when I thought it was because of low pressure levels in the tank or maybe spider webs in the line somewhere but this regulator solves the problem. To use it safely first turn the red pressure control valve completely off, then open the tank valve all the way and set the flame control knob on your grill to its start position. Now slowly crack open the red valve while lighting the flame. Once its lit set your grill control to its highest flame level and slowly open the red valve until the flame is a little more than what you think you'll need. I didn't need to open the red valve much at all to get a good flame.

I bought this to replace an inconsistent automatic regulator on my BBQ. I could have gotten the smaller PSI one I've found out, but this one works perfectly, almost too good. I can really crank up the flames for quicker preheating and cleaning of the grill, then dial it down to just a trickle to maintain my temperature for a consistent BBQ. Thanks!

Costco Grand Classic by Nexgrill.
Five burners 72000 BTU. Plus rotisserie burner and two side cooking plates. Total variable BTU output around 95000 btu. Stock regulator never kept up to the demand. So, just installed and fired up with a near empty tank. Once hooked up— Make sure your red dial is turned counter clockwise completely, this is the off position. Open the tank gas valve slowly check for line leaks—dish soap and water works look for bubbles and the smell of gas. Mine did not leak, btw leave the rubber gasket in the small 5/8 fitting. Tighten snug don’t go Hercules on it. That could/will tear the washer! Turn the red dial a quarter turn clockwise/right check for leaks again. Yeah no leaks. I opened my first stage burner the gas rushed through the line and than slowed to a steady pace. I turned the red dial back just a bit repeated the process. Gas came out slower. I turned the burner to ignite and it fired right up turned to low. I started burner two and three and set all three to the lowest setting on the individual dials low. I than turned the red dial just a bit clockwise still to the right until I could see the three burners evenly burning on low. I than turned three burners to high. I gave the red knob just another bit of a turn and the grill was heating away better than ever. This grill is a high out put grill so I can see adjusting this more if I ever needed to use all five very large cast iron burners. I haven’t set the output for infrared rotisserie cooker yet but I imagine it will be a lower setting. I look forward to trying this on my smoker. Good luck! Check for leaks.

Bought this to run my propane tank forge burner. Works fine. It runs fine, not really impressive but works just fine. It's definitely Chinese made but it pressure checked fine and doesn't give me cause for alarm. Adjusting the pressure screw is fairly smooth and doesn't walk over time. The only issue is the mislabeled end size. The box says it's a 5/8" outlet. The end is a female 3/8" flare. -1 star for bad labeling. Aside from that I'd buy it again.

My Coleman RoadTrip regulator went bad and replacements are very expensive. You can adapt this regulator to a RoadTrip but it requires you to salvage the brass 1/8" end (hard to unscrew) from the old regulator then use that piece plus a 1/8" male to 3/8" adapter to mate it to this hose (the correct adapter 3/8" flare M x 1/8" MNPT is available here on Amazon). Works great now but there is one CAUTION. The stock RoadTrip regulator reduces the gas pressure down to around 10 psi before it enters the grill. This regulator allows you adjust pressure from 0 - 20 psi so you will need to adjust the red knob to a suitable pressure once you hook it up. Otherwise the burners get too much gas and act like a blowtorch.

This worked well fixed my aging grill. Only complaint is that the red knob can easily be spun. Once you have it adjusted to the proper PSI for your grill i would advise using a permanent market and putting a mark on the metal part and the red knob so you can easily find the same PSI setting. You WILL accidentally bump the red knob when turning on and off your tank gas!

Correction. Regulator worked as expected. The one star review has been changed to 5 star. Caution to those using this on a propane grill. This is not intended for use on a propane grill. It is exactly what I was looking for and gave new life to an old grill. BE CAREFUL. You can over heat your grill way before the flow sensor shuts the regulator down. It is capable of many times what your grill needs at the highest setting. I am using it on a 70,000 BTU Jenn Air and it only needs to be at less than 5 PSI. Apologies to the mfg for my mistake.

Wow! Like turning on a jet engine. I used this with my propane fire pit and it made a huge difference. Propane tank flow seems lower when temps outside are lower than 40 deg F. This allows you to increase the propane flow to get a bigger flame. Made a huge difference for my fire pit this winter as I could get a bigger flame to keep me warmer

This Gas One device is AWESOME and exactly what I needed to complete my DIY project to convert an outdoor fire ring from wood burning to propane gas. I do like the automatic shut off feature when it senses an excessive flow of gas. Quality is good and time will tell how well it holds up, but so far so good.
