These work great. We have an old farmhouse and we have to walk across the rooms in the dark to get to a light switch. The motion sensor lights definitely make this task easier. I also put one in a dark cabinet and it works great. Note that the adhesive tape is very strong. Make sure to put the light exactly where you want it the first time. I pulled mine off of the wall and it pulled off the wallpaper. There are also little holes on the back of the light, so you can put it on the wall with a very small nail. It stays well this way unless you have grandkids or small kids who like to touch everything. Read the directions and make sure not to install them too close together. Keep in mind that these only work in the dark. For example, if you put them in a staircase, the top ones will work (if it is darker towards the top) and the lower ones may not work if there is light downstairs.
Look and work great on their own. Only problem, the mount locations worked out and they looked great until I installed batteries and the extra weight was too much for the mounting magnets. So had to rethink the mounting. Luckily there is a center drilled hole for fixed mounting and makes the change easier.
I have bought several other nighlights during the years. Now, after Hurricane Maria, I am sending friends in Puerto Rico fans, batteries and came across these lights. To my surprise, they are great buy for the price. The uniqueness of these lights is that they stay on as long as there is movement in the proximal area. A friend commented that they were too bright. Thus, although the manufacturer and/or seller would not approve this, I decided to decrease the luminescence and to do that simply removed one of the batteries which was substituted by a piece of speaker cable (g 16 or so) and it worked. I tried jumping on two of the batteries but the lamp does not work with a single battery; photos attached. As well, instead of using the double sided sticky piece, I ran a cord through two of the three holes in the back and just hanged them on the wall where illumination would be the best for the specific area. Photos included.
UPDATE: (15 JUNE 2018): It's been over 8 months now and they're still working perfectly AND I have not had to change the batteries. Not a single one! Again, these lights are located in a heavy traffic hallway where the lights would be triggered on at least 20 times per day. Even still, the batteries are still going strong!
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Excellent unwired lights for places that would benefit from having lights but you don’t want the hassle and expense of hiring an electrician to do wiring for the lights. I have four of these lights inside hallway shelves. This hallway gets a lot of foot traffix. In the evening, these lights get triggered on by a passerby by at least 20 times. I’ve had these lights for 2 whole months and the original batteries are still good to go.
Please be advised that these “white” lights are rather cool temperature lights. I would estimate around 5,000K. If you’re looking for something slightly warmer (ie slightly more yellow) then opt for the “warm white” version
These lights make it easier to move around at night without disturbing anyone or having to turn on light switches and our beloved furry babies appreciate the lights just as much as we do! #satisfiedcusty

Description
With AMIR Motion Sensor Lights, you can…
- Say good bye to bumping into stuff in the dark.
- Comfort kids who are afraid of the dark
- Cheaper to run than ceiling lights
AMIR Motion Sensor Lights act like little “guardians”, provide automated, hands-free way to protect your homes indoors and outdoors. Light up your bedroom, stairs, hallway, closet, or entryway to your home where the light switch is just too far from the door. Don't leave lights on needlessly running up the electric bill.
With easy installation,it mounts in seconds. No hammers, drills, or tools required. Simply use the double-sided adhesive pads or stick to any metal surface with the built-in magnet.
Note:
1. Please kindly check whether the batteries have been installed in the correct direction.
2. This light can only be turned on in darkness environment. The light won't turn on if the light sensor has been detected by the enough light.
3. If you use Alkaline battery first and then change to zinc-manganese dry battery, the lights might not work as the zinc-manganese dry battery is shorter than the Alkaline battery.
4. The sensor light might not work if you use the infrared heater in winter. The infrared will cause failure of the sensor. However, the light will get back to work in 30 minutes after turning off the heater.

These lights have worked out great around the house. I've put them on the stairwell, and true to their description they light up well when sensing motion. They won't light up as easily when sufficient sunlight is on them, because they are meant to only function in the dark. Sometimes, near dusk, I would have to get fairly close to them before they would turn on. But once night hits, those things light up as soon as I come down off the other stairwell like "Ready to pay the basement a visit, do some laundry perhaps"... I will note that the adhesive tape is VERY strong, as in MAKE SURE that you have them exactly where you want them before applying.
I purchased six of these. Four of them worked properly and are very handy. I had problems with two of them...one wouldn't turn on, and another stayed on all the time. I posted a review to that effect and the company immediately reached out to me, and offered a refund. Their service is excellent, and based on that and an expectation that I was simply unlucky with my first purchase, I have purchased an additional three.
They are more than bright enough for closet lighting, night lights, etc., and are very convenient to use.
Perfectly priced sensor lights, and fast delivery. It's so fun now to walk up and down the stairs and watch each light turn on successively! Thank you, vendor!
I got these because my 70 year-old mother lives with me, we recently moved, and her new bathroom has a step she's not quite used to.
The first night she spent in our new apartment she literally fell on her face when she went to the bathroom at night. I installed these the next day and they're great! Once she steps into her bathroom in absolute darkness the first one turns on, she only has to take one step and the second one turns on (the one right on the dangerous step), so she's able to see the step before moving forward. I placed a third one right next to the toilet, but I've found you have to get really close to that one for it to turn on. I moved the third one to a better spot and found that the adhesive is really strong (but leaves no nasty residue). Unfortunately, once you remove them from their original place and stick them somewhere else the adhesive doesn't work as well and the units keep falling off. I just used double-sided tape to place them in the new spot. They also come with a magnet, but, in my case, my mother's bathroom doesn't have any conveniently-placed metal for me to stick them to. They also don't stay on as long as I'd want them to (they stay on for less than a minute), but if you move they'll come back on. I do like that they are very sensitive to movement - I only have to open the bathroom door for the first two to turn on- and they only turn on when it's dark enough. If there's daylight and you can see your way around, they won't turn on. If the bathroom lights are on, they won't come on. I do hope that means the batteries will last a while.
There's a very long and dark (Ceiling lights are too strong) hall between front door and two of the bedrooms. I'll be putting the remaining lights there once we get the furniture settled in that area (still in the process of placing everything where it should go).
Will probably get more of these for other areas of the apartment.
I bought these to put in different areas where I want just a little light at night such as the bathrooms (I just placed them on the window ledge so they'll light up when you approach the toilet at night) and in my tool shed that doesn't have power. They're attached to a metal plate I hung from my perforated wall panel, so I didn't screw them into place. I also put some in my garage, magnetically attached to my garage door opener - for some reason my light in my garage is on the circuit with my outside light, so anytime I have my outdoor lights on my garage light would be one - so I put a pull-chain socket on it, but I have to walk to the middle of the garage to pull the chain. These help light up my path so I can find the pull chain without bumping into things. The garage door opener doesn't work, so there's not motor vibration to worry about.
I would give these a 5 star review, but the first night I had these installed the glue holding the magnetic backing failed, and I found the LED broken on the concrete garage floor the next morning while the other one was still attached and working. I have the two in my shed attached magnetically as well with no problems, so it was probably a bad glue job.
It does make me wonder how long the others will last though.
If you mount these with screws, you'll probably be fine - just don't fully trust the magnet backer. I'll probably have to peel them off and reglue them with better glue if I want these to work in the long run.
They are definitely handy for providing light where running wires is impossible or inconvenient, and overall I would recommend them.
