I ordered this because I'm starting a business making copper jewelry, that doubles for health benefits. This tarnishes extremely easy which proves that it is indeed "bare" copper wire. Which is exactly what I need. If you're looking to make really beautiful, shiny copper jewelry this isn't it. The gauge seems uniform so far but it is a full pound of copper so it will take awhile to work all of it up.
This is excellent 16 guage copper wire. It's perfect for making jewelry. I'll definitely be buying this again.

I used it for an art project and it worked really well. As an aside, Testor's copper colored model paint is a good match. I had to solder the ends of the wires and the paint did a good job of hiding the joints.
