I used to use the medical grade compression socks from Walmart. I used them for shin splints and tendinitis. I bought these so I wouldn't look quite so dorky at my runs/races. I also wear CWX compression shorts/capris. These socks worked as well as the compression capris. I always have to make sure I don't pull them too high or they will cause pain due to the pressure at the back of the base of the knee. These helped me run a half marathon without the normal fatigue and pain and without cutting off the circulation. They were excellent support and very stylish. The compression is a good level. The firm medical grade I had been using was a 30-40 mmHg. This was less, but still enough to give support. The red lines give added compression without over doing it and work similar to the K-tapes out there. This is just easier to put on. I suffer from restless leg which manifests more as pain that requires me to tighten the muscles. These actually help to relieve some of that....still on medication, but sometimes the medication isn't quite enough and I don't want to go higher.
I like them they reach my knee and folding them over really help support my knee. They wear pretty tight, but they stay up and don't bunch under my toes. No blisters at all really like these socks a ton.
Son wears them to rugby practice; He likes them.
