This product is easy to apply and stays put - doesn't migrate a much as thinner whitening gels. I used this with a lighted tray. Immediate results were noticeable and improved with each following use. If you protect your lips and gums while using, you can also avoid the complaints others have about sensitivity. My process, with good results, is as follows:
1. Use a paper towel to make a tight roll then trim two pieces to fit your gum line - one for top and one for bottom
2. Place rolls up under each lip, as high as you can, to absorb saliva. This helps prevent the gel from getting on soft tissue which can sting
3. Use a Q-tip to rub a thin coating of Vaseline on gums just enough to cover and be careful to get into corners of gums between teeth
4. Use a 2nd Q-tip to remove any Vaseline that got on the surface of teeth
5. Brush the gel onto ONLY the FRONT surfaces of the teeth being careful NOT to over apply or get too close to the gums as this will creep onto gums and lips and sting
6. OPTIONAL - I use a lighted tray to help keep gel in place and off soft tissue - not necessary but at least a tray is advised
7. If you choose not to use a tray, you MUST keep mouth open and avoid getting the gel on you lips and gums - which would be difficult.
8. Wait 20 - 30 minutes then remove all and rinse very well with warm water. I also brush after to remove any remaining Vaseline or gel residue
Using this product with these steps have produced excellent results and may be repeated immediately as long as no sensitivity from treatment. If gel gets on soft tissue, it can cause temporary white patches. This might look concerning but it has NOT "bleached" the gums as some users have thought. If there are any white patches from getting and leaving the gel on soft tissue, it is caused by the peroxide in the gel. Again, if it occurs, it is TEMPORARY. Peroxide does the same thing when used on a wound when it oxidizes proteins but isn't harmful and will go away in a day or two. A remineralizing gel is advised to reduce sensitivity (this is sold in the same product category). I purchased but have not used it yet but the reviews are good. Final word is, like they always do in dentist offices when whitening, take the steps and time to avoid getting gel on soft tissue during application and processing time. If you do, you will experience excellent results like I did without the discomfort or white patches on gums from the peroxide spreading.
No yucky taste. Very easy to use. 10 mins., first use.....teeth went one shade lighter. I already us a charcoal product. I wanted to add this to go from the third highest level of white to the first. In one use i have bumped it up to the 2nd highest level. There was a very small amount of sensitivity. I brushed with Sensodyne tooth paste after rinsing and that fixed it immediately. (My teeth are very sensitive.) This product contains the same active ingredient the more expensive brands do. I am glad i tried it!
These pens are easier to use because of the brush applicator. Same whitening as the other gels.

This teeth whitening product has been the easiest to use by far. The brush makes the application work perfect! The photo is from the first application, which already shows visible difference. I have whitened my teeth for years now and I was finding the cost of White Plus, Oral B., and all the others who promised whiter teeth with a few applications and enough product to last you a month or more....right ? No way! Not at $50 or $60 or more for awkward peel offs that are more often rip offs. The darn things. Half the time the clear part of the packaging stuck to the side that has the gel on it rendering t he whole mess useless. It ends up costing you more than $10 per film big deal!. O.k. been using only a few days. Package says beware of existing gun loss & exposed roots- my issue. Don't swallow the stuff! Seems to be doing the job. I have quite a bit of dental work as most 60 yr. old men have. hoping to brighten my smile several shades. Dug out a picture from nearly 20 years ago & my teeth have definately gotten yellow with age. Great product so far.
