A little hard to walk in, but they worked for the small area I needed to cover. I used the areators, planted seeds where a mole had destroyed my lawn, and the grass is coming back. Yeah.
Assembly is easy and they simply work. Was afraid that bolts would come loose but they’ve held up well to lots of walking so far. I’m happy.
These were great as long as you have soil moist.
It was certainly quicker using these than a garden fork, & therefore I am more likely to use them again for my fairly large lawn. Not the easiest things to use, as you have to step up vertically, rather than in a forward motion, or there is a danger of taking some of the lawn with you. As others have said, these don't penetrate hard, dry lawns, but if using them in autumn & in the spring, that shouldn't be a major problem.
No real way of knowing how effective they are at keeping moss at bay, & improving the lawn's health, without going through a couple of years, ensuring the spikes are used regularly. At least I feel I've made the effort!

No problem did two large lawns in 45 minutes. Only advice I can give is just make sure you take your time putting them on, get them nice and tight. Did come off a couple of times, but more my fault by not fitting them properly. Easy to use just use nice straight steps making sure you lift up your legs like Basil Fawlty. Certainly caused a stir with the neighbours. Good product and good value.
Straps or difficult but bolt on shoes works great

They are awkward to use at first but you get the hang of it after awhile, they weren’t to difficult to put together. Definitely great for someone that has a small yard. The buckles are very sturdy to keep them attached to your feet.
It gave my teenage son a job to do! Aerated the lawn nicely in preparation for seeding. A neighbor borrowed it and used it on their lawn.
