First of all, I got it for my PS4 Pro and not a laptop. I found when I upgraded to a 4K TV and started playing 4K games, the system would get really hot and the fans inside would kick into overdrive or a few minutes. It would sound like a mini jet engine going off. Apparently this is normal behavior, but it's pretty disconcerting to hear. I looked into getting fans that attach to the back, but the reviews were crap and the suggestions online were to get a base cooler.
The base is larger than the PS4 Pro, so it fits easily on top of it, which is a major plus. And the fans are dead silent. Since it plugs into the USB port, it only runs when the PS4 is powered on (if it's in rest mode that depends on how you have the USB ports configured for when it's in rest mode, but with my setup, I never use them). The lighting add a cool effect...I got the one with the blue light so it matches the PS4 colors.
As for performance...it is definitely having the desired effect. The PS4 Pro's cooling fan does still kick on for 4K games, but less frequently and at a much lower level. It no longer sounds like the PS4 is getting ready for lift off and take flight across my room. Nothing is going to resolve the heating issue of 4K games running on the PS4 Pro short of a re-designed PS4 Pro that solves the heating issue, but the cooling pad is a great addition to help with that, and probably any long gaming sessions regardless of playing 4K games or not.
The item works like it says and keeps the laptop cool. I enjoy the color system that your able to choose from. the cooling pad fits the laptop perfectly. I have a 17 inch monster laptop, I went threw 2 cooling pads so far that didn't fit this one fits!

This was shipped right away and arrived very quickly. The packaging was great for protecting the product. I have been using the cooling pad for about 2 weeks now. I like that I can choose to use the top 2 fans, the bottom 2 fans, or all 4 fans. I like that the cord is long enough for me, and the extra USB port is useful. I also like the green lights. I wish there was a way to turn off the green lights if I wanted to sometimes, but it is not a big deal. The cooling pad is not silent, but it is very quiet. I hardly notice it, even with 4 fans running. At first you may notice it a little, but you quickly get used to it. I teach English online and I need a very quiet background. I have not gotten any complaints from my students since I started using this cooling pad. Also, I cannot hear the sound when I do a microphone check each day before I start teaching. I like that the cooling pad top surface is made of metal - it seems very sturdy. I have not used the angle feature (making the back higher than the front) and I probably will not need to use it. I wish the cooling pad came in a little smaller size. There were only two size choices, and I think it might be better to add a third size option. Now the edges of the cooling pad are sticking out and taking up more of my desk space. Also, I wish that the cooling pad was thinner. It raises my laptop and now my wrists are bent while typing. This is a problem with all cooling pads, I believe, not just this one. I do not know much about computers, but I did not notice my laptop was much cooler after using this cooling pad. My laptop still feels hot on the top surface. However, I noticed that I felt heat about an inch above my laptop, so I guess the hot air is being pushed out better than with the laptop's fans alone. I basically use the cooling pad just in case, or as "insurance" to hopefully help my laptop last longer. Thinking about it this way, I feel this cooling pad is well worth the money.

I wasn't impressed by the lengthy outpourings of self-congratulatory ad copy Klim seems to like in place of specific information. I accidentally threw out the manual, but needed it for a question I had later about the switches — There's two power switches, and I wanted to know what exactly they did. The manual was nowhere to be found on their website, although most of the other models' manuals were. I think they could have taken some of the time and energy they spent in their product description rambling on about how awesome they are in general, and instead put it to use on something of direct interest to the end customer, like, say, actually having the relevant product manual on their website.
Klim's otherwise effusive and in-depth autobio was also irritatingly skimpy on basic technical specs. I wanted to know what output the USB ports were rated for, so I would be informed about what I should be plugging into them. This info was nowhere to be found. As it turns out, USB 2.0 is specced at 500 mA by design, so I learned something in spite of myself.
Fans were surprisingly quiet at full rev. Fan sound is very smooth and even, with no odd whines or rattles.
They could've made the USB cord a little sturdier, and longer. It looks and feels very flimsy.
The retaining prongs on the front of the pad are too short IMO. They could also be a bit sturdier. My laptop is thick and heavy and seems to want to glide up over them, although it hasn't so far. It's not exactly a secret that thickness and weight are a thing with gaming laptops, so Klim might want to take another look at those prongs. Apparently some other reviewers have had their laptops ride right up over them.
Overall, beautiful item, and definitely helps reduce my CPU and GPU temps.

Not as well as my old Targus ca 2009, but better than anything I've tried to replace it with. I do wish I could disble the damn lights. One of these days maybe I'll pop the back off and see if there isn't a wire I can cut that'll just turn them off. Or remove the bulbs, or something.
Lights inside your electronics. What a stupid idea. If you want a power indicator that's one tiny bulb somewhere, not something you can practically read in the dark by.
But unlike the other 4 types of cooler I tried after the Targus died (including a new Targus that was a total piece of crap, and by crap I mean the satisfying "S" word) THIS ONE WORKS.
We have only had it a week or so but it looks like a VERY well made product. It has fans in great spots and seems to keep my wife's computer much cooler. I know the hotter the processor gets the shorter it's life, so this should help immensely! I REALLY love the fact that you were smart enough to put a USB port to compensate for the port you lose plugging this into the computer. My wife can still use her external keyboard right through your cooler pad! FANTASTICALLY DESIGNED! If I have any durability issues I will let you know but for now we are completely satisfied with this. Get one...you will be also!
Our laptop was having some overheating problems when live streaming things and that stopped as soon as we hooked up the fan. It can be a but loud and I dislike how bright the lights are, especially when we're watching something at night but it's completely worth it for the price. The fans are incredibly effective and noticably moves the air. There is a bit of extra strain on the battery which probably wouldn't be as bad if it didn't have the unnecessary lights but it's to be expected. I'll update if anything changes.

The cooling pad is very lightweight; it's essentially an open-work box around the fans. It's quite quiet and even when I had the fans turned up high, I tended to mistake the hum of the fans for the hum of the computer. It moves a lot of air as I feel it blowing out from under the laptop.
The pad has two dials along the righthand side which control the fans. It does not turn on automatically when you plug it into the USB port. That confused me initially as my old one did and I expected this to do the same. The dials allow you to control how much air the fans move.
There are two USB ports on the pad. You use one to connect to the computer and the other as a pass-through. I tested both for each purpose and they both work fine.
All in all it is a very nice little unit.
I'd been eyeing this tray for a while. When mine broke over weekend, I decided to bite the bullet and give this one a shot. I'm really happy I did!
First, I love the size. I can use it comfortably while it is in my lap, but it's still big enough to hold my 13" laptop with a little room on either side! It's also small enough to fit in my backpack with no issue. This is incredibly important to me as every tray I've had before was too large. Being able to bring this to work with me or while on vacation is fantastic!
The lights are a vibrant color, but aren't intrusive at all when on. The fans have a great steady air flow and are almost completely silent. I like that the switches controlling the air flow and the USB ports on the back of the tray (as opposed to other ones I've had with those being on the side.) The provided cord is a good length and is made of strong braided material, which is really nice touch! The delivery was also incredibly fast.
Overall it's an awesome cooling tray for the price! I'd definitely recommend it and will be buying from this company again in the future!
