Naztech i9 Wireless Active Noise Cancelling 4.1 Bluetooth Headphones with in-line Microphone Up to 30 hrs Playtime for iPhones, Smartphones, Tablets, Computers, TV & Work/Airplane Adapter Included

These Naztech noise cancelling headphones are one of the harder products I've had to review, because the things that frustrate me with them are pretty big, but so are the things I like. In the end, I've figured out how to work with them pretty well, and hence a four star review...with caveats.

First, the pros:
--The active noise cancelling is excellent on planes and other enviroments with a lot of general ambient mechanical noise. They're not bad at muffling other noises, but as with most of these, voices may not be blocked; as such, that annoying coworker may still be heard.
--Bluetooth: the convenience factor of going wireless is obviously huge. Battery life on BT is good, though on a long travel day you might want to use the included cord instead and save the battery for your noise cancelling.
--Comfort: these are over ear for my average size ears, and I'm finding that more comfortable to wear for hours on end than my previous on-ear style. The adjustable band will allow a good fit for most people, padding on ears and band is adequate.
--Price: very reasonable for what you get. Active noise cancelling, a decent quality set of headphones, and a number of surprisingly good quality accessories make this a pretty good deal.
--Looks: while I bought the pink to go with my rose gold phone, I appreciated that this came in a number of different colors to suit most tastes. I've received a number of compliments on them.

Cons:
--You've probably noticed sound isn't on the list of assets, which to me is problematic for headphones. It's adequate, but a bit finicky for my tastes. The compensations they make while noise cancelling is active do improve the sound quality, but of course, having noise cancelling on when it isn't needed means a background hiss to your personal soundtrack. And turning NC off leaves you with a flat, quiet, somewhat muffled sound to your music. Don't bother trying to listen to these without tweaking your phone's EQ settings...and don't assume your normally ideal settings are going to work with these. I'm currently listening to Mozart's Requiem with the iPhone set to "Acoustic", because that's the only setting that closely replicates the sound produced by my home speakers and previous headphones. I tend to like things fairly bass heavy, and have never previously used the Acoustic setting for anything! Be prepared to experiment to find the right settings for the different music types in your library.
--About that NC hiss...it's not always consistent. Sometimes it's significantly stronger on the left than the right. Annoyingly so.
--And back to sound: these are the leakiest cans I've ever tried, hands down. Be prepared to potentially annoy your seatmates on anything quieter than a jet. Especially if you're not using NC, since you'll end up turning up the volume to counter that muffled sound.

Looking at that list, you have to be wondering about the four star rating. Honestly, it would be lower, except, well, in spite of issues listed, I find myself using these a lot more than my non NC, wired, on ear set that has better sound out of the box. Because they're comfortable, I'll throw them on while doing chores, or just when trying to tune out the general noises around here. While finding the right EQ settings is a pain, I can get decent sound from these if I try. The battery life has been excellent. And the NC was a huge help for this nervous flier on a recent cross country trip. A more expensive pair of headphones would likely produce better sound, but for the price, I'll put up with the negatives of these.

My wife really likes these headphones. They work quite well for the price point (not as great as Bose or Sony but those are also far more expensive). They definitely cancel out noise! And for the big things (she stood next to the washer while it was running) it muted/muffled the sound while making her music crisper/clearer. She would recommend.

One co, and this could just take some adjusting to (plus she had a headache from allergies) but they are a bit tight at first. She thinks they'll lose their new 'stiffness' and be great tho.

I love these headphones they have better sound then the beats in my personal opinion. The only thing is that I wish that thay had an area where you could put the SD card in them like you can in the cheaper headphones but I would trade for nothing. They are super comfortable and have sa nice foam around the ears and on the headband. They have indicators to tell you what ear to have the on and a switch to turn the noise function on and off. I cant even hear my kids through them when I have the noise cancelation on and I have exceptionally good hearing. Naztech hit a homerun with this one. They also come with all there cables you’ll need and a nice case for them.

Received these headphones in the mail today and I was pretty apprehensive about buying them without hearing what kind of sound that they put out. They are advertised as noise canceling/Bluetooth and all that jazz. First let me know explain that I have a whiney 4 year old (who I love very much) but I put these things on and BAM! I can’t hear him complain about how bored he is and that he wants candy. SIMPLY AMAZING!! For the price these headphones are honestly just as good as my friends Beats. His may be slightly better but I mean these things only cost $70 ish. I’m so thrilled with these things! I would definitely buy them again!

Bought for my daughter for xmas, she just opened them and fell in love. They are very comfortable and very pretty. The color is fantastic and the sound is great! I recommend these to anyone looking for wireless headphones. The part that covers your ears are oval so they fit more comfortable than a round headphone, i want for myself!

These just came in the mail and I am very pleased with them. They look just like the picture, they're slim, and they have nice sound quality.
I haven't yet tested the noise cancelling feature (when I use it in a silent room, there's just this prominent low buzz).
My only concern so far is that they are not very loud headphones. When I use my stock Samsung earbuds and other headphones, I can usually set the volume lower than I need to with these headphones. I've turned the volume up all the way on the physical headphones, too. I'm hoping when I take these headphones outside or where I need to use the noise cancelling that the volume will be loud enough for me to enjoy my music without maxing the volume on my phone.

I work in an open pod area and was having difficulty working with all the noise. I did research and found the Naztech NC earphones had great reviews. I did not want to spend over a hundred dollars so I decided these were for me. After receiving them I noticed right away they were high quality. I have used them at work for three weeks and they block out most of the noise with music on. If I do not look at anyone I can barely notice that anyone is talking. I would recommend these to anyone. I love them!

Just received these a few days ago. Bought them for an upcoming trip. Gonna be on a plane for a long time. Couldn't afford the BOSE...So far, they seem easy to use. They are lightweight and fit well. I have a small head and usually have problems with headphones. Wish they came in a brighter pink but will take comfort over style. :-)

These headphones are gorgeous, and work really well so far! Admittedly, I've only had them for a day, but I love them so far. They feel fine with my glasses on, and the padding is really soft and comfortable. The only critique that I have is that because the speaker is so close to your ear, they can sometimes cause the outer bits of my ears to hurt after I've had them on for a while, which I imagine could be an issue if you're wearing them on a long flight. I have pretty flat ears, so it's not too big of a deal, but if your ears stick out a little bit (or a lot, I guess), these'll probably hurt your ears. Overall though, I'm very impressed.

I thought about giving these headphones a try after my Bose noise cancelling quiet comfort just stopped working. They work the same.... noise canceling wise... in the flight. I did not notice any difference. I also own beats by dr.dre. I could not believe the quality of these.... they are made well, work very well. Does exactly what it should do, without breaking the bank. I had very bad experience with Bose not to mention that the Bose is $ 350 + tax. Bose want $ 100 and will give me refurbished headphones. Beats are OK sound wise, but very uncomfortable. They hurt over the ear. Why should I spend so much more money when I am so happy with my new i9BT. I am very happy with them.
