I have a 4 year old and just had a baby. Most baby monitors only come with one monitor or camera, these had really great reviews so I wanted to try them out. I wanted something where I have 2+ cameras in different locations, and my wife and I could each use our phones individually to manage them and check on them. While 'technically' these cameras can achieve that, it's not very usable. I'll start with overall and get into my specific qualms:
PROS:
- Video quality is great
- Night video is excellent.
- Setup is very easy and painless
- The app is easy to use.
- Configurable motion notifications
- Very affordable
CONS:
- There can be only 1 owner of the camera. That is significant because only the owner gets the motion notifications, and anyone the owner 'shares' the camera with can not change any of the settings, and there is no way through the app to change their role. So if my son or baby is running around, only one of us would know...not ideal.
- There are only motion notifications.
- The app kept showing up with no camera's on my wife's phone, she would have to force close and reopen the app multiple times for the cameras to show back up. (Pixel 2, android OS, same as me)
- The power cord is quite short.
WHAT I THINK WOULD MAKE THESE AMAZING:
- I would like there to be a setting where you can listen to the audio feed with your phone screen off, several music apps have this and wouldn't be too hard to implement and would make a HUGE difference, as your phones are basically unusable if you want to use it as a baby monitor.
- If you could split screen 2+ different cameras on the same screen at the same time...that would be amazing. Even if it was higher latency.
- If there was more customization with the shared camera access settings and notifications
I really wanted to love these, and to be fair I love the physical cameras, they are easy to use and set up and the video and sound quality for the price are unbelievable. I think the app just needs some more robust features and these cameras would be incredible. I'll probably keep them and use them as security cameras and buy a baby monitor and hope some of the features I'm looking for get released to the application.
Bought this surveillance camera to check on my dog at home. Obviously, she sleeps most of the time while we are away. I like how the camera looks. It's light, easy to install and the material quality is good. The image is clear even on the night view without any lights on. I can talk to my dog through it and that's fun! Love that!
I just changed my original 2-star review to a 4-star after receiving an email from the company saying they would refund the purchase & (_unconditionally_ I should stress) asking me to change my review to a 5-star due to their kindness in refunding me. I had to think long & hard about that. Yes, they honored the fact my unit did not do all it was supposed to, but I still felt a responsibility to others to be honest. So I settled on 4-stars, but I'm leaving my original review below:
MY ORIGINAL 2 STAR REVIEW FOLLOWS:
This sets up easily, and the app is pretty simple to use, HOWEVER.... 99& of the time after it's tripped & I go to the "mailbox" and click "View Video" it then tells me "No recording found". This makes no sense. Even when I am actually live viewing the person via the app, there still is no actual recording. I am using a MicroSD card that was properly setup by the app. Additionally, it has NEVER alerted me to an event via the app. I have to manually go & open the app to see the history. So, I have taken to use this to view the room live. It has no other reliably working function as far as I'm concerned. It's too bad. I had high hopes for this.

***Update***
I’m updating my review to reflect a rating based on Nooie’s customer service. After seeing that the camera didn’t work for me I was contacted by a representative from Nooie. She was very kind and was very receptive to my feedback regarding my issue with the app. The camera still won’t work for me, but I do have to give the company credit for their excellent care and customer service. Please still do yourself and the company a favor and save the original packaging until you ensure this camera works for you. They can’t take the camera back without it. I know that should go without saying, but for some reason I threw it out prematurely.

Beware, this doesn’t NOT work with a 5G connection. We have both 2G and 5G at our house, but the app would not allow us to pick which connection to use, and didn’t show the 2G or 5G after the wifi it chose like other apps do so that we could see if that was the issue as to why we couldn’t get this camera to pair. I was excited about this camera, but with the limited app functionality and options, unfortunately we weren’t able to get it to pair, and I unfortunately already threw away the box already so I can’t even return it.
I needed to replace a (different) camera that stopped working. I use it to keep an eye on my sweet Chihuahua when I am out of the house. The reviews seemed pretty good, so I ordered this Nooie.
Pros: Very easy set up, found my wifi the first time, easy app to use, clear Distant picture but zooming in gets a little blurry. Night vision is good.
Cons: The cameras vertical viewing shows half of a standing person if camera is placed about 10 ft from that area. You would have to place it very far from subject in order to see full person standing. In my photos shown, if I was standing rather than sitting, you would see half of me.
You can't change a motion alert tone within the app.
If using a micro SD card for storage, it must be a Class 6 or higher, put card in before plugging in camera. Mine reads SD card then it doesn't, have to unplug then plug back in.
Overall, for the price it is a good camera for keeping an eye on pets or unwelcomed guests.
I really like the quality of the camera and the video, but I have issues with the app. It could be amazing, but it doesn't have flexible functionality.
I would like to be able to turn on the camera when I leave, but not have specific times to activate motion detection as I don't have a set schedule.
I would also like to be able to clear past notifications or organize them at the least.
Motion detection has a hair trigger. The jingling of the fans chord sets it off even at the lowest setting.
SUMMARY: An excellent option for the price. Instructions are simple but not clear about what type of microSD card might work best. Check this Amazon page for more details about that. Their customer response have been quick when I emailed them. Once I get back and can get the microSD card working, this will become a 5 star rating. (I would have done 4.5 now but that isn't an option. Time will tell about longevity.
I love this little camera. In fact, I just ordered a second one. The first is still working after two weeks away but my SimpliCam (which is much more expensive) is not.
This is a 720px camera, but for my needs, that is perfect. It doesn't pull as much bandwidth on my home wifi or my phone.
The alerts are great and seem to be real time or very close. I was able to startle my brother in law by greeting him when he entered the front door. There is a tiny lag at times, but not enough to cause real issues. My BIL and I carried on a conversation using only the camera audio. It was clear on both ends.
The only problem I have encountered is with the microSD card. I still haven't resolved that but I've been away so maybe next time. I saw in another review that the PNY card didn't work for them but another brand did. I had purchased a PNY card so will try swapping out. That really isn't a big issue for me since the app allows me to record a short video or take still images on my phone.
One interesting note... at my place, during the day, the cam is in b&w mode unless direct sun is coming in. When the timed lamp comes on, motion is detected and the picture converts to color. That makes sense given the angle of the sun right now and the brightness of the LED lamp. Occasionally I will receive a 'false' motion detection when a vehicle passes by the window with a strong reflection of sunlight into the window. Small price to pay for peace of mind.
Can't wait to startle the bug man on his next monthly rounds! Just kidding, I do want him to come back. But I do feel safer and more in control with this camera.
Cam works great. It did take me two tries to set up and two different microSD cards to get it to record.
Don'tuse PSY cards. Got a 64GB Class 10 microSD from them and it didn'twork with this camera. Used a Sandisk 128GB Class 10 and worked flawlessly. Weird but oh well.
There isn't that much customizable options when configuring settings, but it's ok.
Quality doesn't look lile 720p, even on my phone. Might be the color gradiant but I'm not an average gamer, so I can tell the difference.
As for the motion detection it is quite sesitive, even on medium settings. Picks up slight changes of light. And I mean SLIGHT. I guess it is a good thing. Rather have it too sensitive then not at all.
I recommend if just using indoors. I have this watching my front door because someone keeps trying to break in and has bypassed my digital keylock twice. So trying to get the perps face.
