As a beginner, I went overboard, but I'm taking my new class seriously and my REAL artist friends said this was the one to get... seems to have everything I should be capable of putting into use until I'm well beyond my first few drawing courses!
Also, I like that it comes in a protective tin.

This is a great starter set. My young son is learning to use charcoals and this has been a great set to start with.
I am professional tattoo artist of that loves to learn how to use many other mediums, but I have never experimented with charcoal. I didn't want to spend too money because I didn't know if I would like working with them or be even be able to learn to use charcoal. After much deliberation and comparing one set after another, I chose this one. I wanted a set that had everything in it that I needed to start out. This set was the perfect one. I'm very happy with it and and quite happy that I have had great luck learning a new way to produce wonderful art!!

They wok but 2 came broken
Very nice product....package was delivered on time.
I'm pretty happy with the product the charcoal blends easily but one of the woodless charcoal stick was broken but it is still usable
As stated one piece was broke. GF said it was ok so we kept it.
