My wife ordered this for one of our standing desk, thinking it was for her at first I assembled it (took 20minutes). I was happy after putting it together that it was for my desk.
I am really impress with how sturdy and well built it is. The manufacture uses embeds to ensure the screws into the keyboard holder are firm and don't strip out. The metal brackets are nicely coated and the design minimizes the screws seen from the front side. With the board and the brackets being black they hide nicely against my black desk.
I was very impresse and that is saying a lot coming from an individual that is a Mechanical Engineer.
There is hoever one issue I didn't expect which is the spacing provided between the top of the tray and the bracket is 4" max. To get the actually usuable space/distance it would be 3.5"- thickess of your desk. In my case my desk is 1.5" thick, which leaves only 2" of space. which is just enough to clear my keyboard and mouse but I also have a 3d mouse and it doesn't clear. Also with the keyboard pushed in' there is not enough room to even type , so no quick hit a button without having to pull out the keyboard. Also you can't use while pushed in.
Now with you have small hands, a thin keyboard/mouse and an thin desk it should be a problem. I really do love the unit and have thought about asking if they have longer brackets but something tells me they probably wont.
I have a triple monitor setup on a standing/sitting desk, i.e. I can raise or lower it. Having the keyboard and mouse right on the desk surface was not working for me due to height alignment between my chair, desk surface for typing comfort, and monitor height for good eye elevation. Anyway.
I decided to try this keyboard tray due to the clamps - I did not want to drill into my desk and be stuck in one position. I read a bunch of reviews of different ones and this one seemed more solid than some of the slightly lower-priced ones, so I went for it.
After unpacking, it took me about five minutes to assemble it. The instructions are good, the parts are individually packed in the order the instructions refer to them, and all holes, screws, and other hardware fit well. The only tool I had to get from my toolbox was a Phillips-head screwdriver.
Attaching it to my desk with the two clamps was easy. Once attached, the tray is rock-solid. I am big and type fast and hard, and the tray does not tremble or vibrate. It is easily wide enough for my ergonomic keyboard (without numpad!) and a large mouse - both wireless, but the back of the tray is open for those who want to run wires. The tray slides pretty easily: occasionally it hangs a tiny bit, but not bad, and it does not slide unevenly (i.e. one side more than the other). So this works fine.
My desk is 1" thick. The vertical space between the tray surface and the bottom of my desk is 2 5/8". My mouse is taller than that, so when I slide the tray in, I have to first remove my mouse or it winds up on the floor. Given that I use a very tall mouse (Evoluent VerticalMouse 4), I expected this, but I'm writing the height of the space here for others to consider.
As this is a tray on horizontal rails, it does not tilt. It is fixed at a horizontal surface angle. This isn't a defect - for the price and type of tray, it's expected. Noting here for other potential buyers.
Overall I would definitely buy it again. It's better and more solid than other trays I've used in the past. I have no concerns with it at all.
This is by far the best keyboard tray EVER! It assembles fast. Instructions are easy to follow. installation is a snap, and it works absolutely as advertised. The only thing that you have to be aware of is its size. When The box arrived it was in a super large box. I thought OMG how big is that thing! it is very large, and long so make sure you measure your desk before purchasing. To make sure you get a good fit. Overall the keyboard tray is nice and sturdy and glides effortlessly. Worth every penny!
This keyboard tray is very sturdy and durable. I like that I don't have to worry about how it will hold up against my kids. I also like that I can turn a table into an office space with this keyboard tray and I don't have to go out and buy a fancy desk to make this possible. My favorite part of this keyboard tray is the clamps. They have a kind of fabric surface on the top and bottom of the clamp portion to protect the table from getting scratched. I gave this a 4 star rating because it is longer than I expected; almost too long, and because it seems to be off set. One side sticks out almost a half an inch more than the other side.
I work in EMS and hold and officer position. I have a small desk that is mine to use, so I only have a limited amount of space. This was a HUGE lifesaver for me. I was looking for something that was sturdy and was a space saver. I am so glad I took the plunge and bought this. It gives me a ton of extra work space on my desk. I didn't have to drill any holes, which pleased my boss and to be honest, it is a lot more comfortable to use at that level then on the top of desk.

Exactly what my desk needed. I bought an adjustable desk so I can sometimes stand and in order to adjust it I have to take everything off the desk (otherwise it's too heavy to adjust) so I've kept it at standing height for me and I have been using a TV tray for my mouse/ keyboard for when I decide I want to sit but it had a slight angle and ended up getting super annoying to deal with so I decided to give this a try and it works perfectly, it tucks under the desk and I can put my keyboard and mouse on it for when I decide to sit or move them to the top of my desk for when I stand. It was fairly easy to put together by myself. Maybe took like 20ish min tops.
I bought this keyboard tray for the desk at my office rental. Since it is a rental, I can't drill holes in the desktop and I needed to find a tray that clamped on. I ordered only one of these just to test it out because I was a bit skeptical still of a clamp on tray. Now I am ready to order a second because I like it so much.
Only real item of note, make sure you have a screw driver and something to cut cable ties before you start the installation. While it doesn't require tools to attach to the desk, it does require a very minimal amount of tools to assemble, which I stupidly left at home the first day I went to install this.
What a great product! My husband and I put it together as soon as we saw it. The material looks sturdy and has a sleek design and the assembly is easy and straightforward. Unfortunately we will probably have to made modifications to the computer desk we own to get it to fit, but that is neither the products fault or the company’s. I’ll update once we are able to fix it to the desk.
This keyboard desk tray is awesome. It was easy to assemble, sturdy and heavy duty. It does slide in and out easily. I love the fact that it holds to the desk by clamps and no drilling is necessary and can be remove at any time.
This was perfect for my needs! Looked at a bunch of options on Amazon and landed on this one. Glad I did! I have trouble with desks where the keyboard sits too high. If I’m on that set up for an extended period of time my shoulder can’t handle it. But this solves all my high desk top needs. Extremely well built and high quality. And plenty of room for my full size keyboard and mouse. Fits perfectly on my permanent home desk. It does take about 15-20 mins to assemble, but it’s very simple if you follow the instructions. I would highly recommend this item if you’re in the market for a drop down keyboard tray.
