While we received a slightly different keyboard than the one pictured in our original order, I'm still really happy with this keyboard. I work at a school and take notes throughout the day, so it's great to have a small device that I can quickly type on without having to use the on-screen keyboard or carry around a larger laptop.
I've always preferred the iPad mini as I use it as an e-reader, so it's great to have the option for the smaller iPad. The keyboard is tiny and takes a little getting used to, but I absolutely love it. It's also handy when I see an e-mail come through that requires a longer response. No need to go to the computer--I just turn the keyboard around and type away. It's also very simple to remove the keyboard portion entirely, though I only do this if I need to put the iPad in a stand that can't accommodate the full case.
When I'm not typing, I typically twist the screen and fold it open so the keyboard is out of the way and somewhat protected against the back of the iPad. I love that this also offers a hard case to protect the screen when I toss it in my bag.
I love the keyboard, it's easy to connect the first time and it auto connects later within seconds. It takes some getting used to the keyboard to type but once you do you'll get your tasks done without a problem.
I recently traveled with it and created an Excel database for a project. It is a little top heavy when on my lap but when sitting on a table, it's steady.
The handle was hard to pull out but I leave it out to carry it.
Two things I don't like is, the function and control buttons are only on the left side and when I do control + c it doesn't copy like on a regular keyboard. Am I doing something wrong?
***Update: I found out how to copy and paste.
The New Trent Keyboard is perfect for my circumstance.
I’m not a comfortable computer and technology consumer.
I use the I-Pad mainly for vacations so I’m not on it all that much.
I just want to answer e-mail, check for boarding passes or find a restaurant.
I hen peck when typing and this New Trent Keyboard helps me navigate the I-Pad so much better than my sausage fingers on the I-Pad glass.
The case fit my I-Pad mini 2 just fine. It paired on the first try.
The viewing bar is stiff to move into place and I find that great because it will suit any user angle.
The screen rotation and keyboard separation are interesting but not necessary for my usage.
I have to give this New Trend Keyboard a big thumbs up.
For less than $40.00 I improved a 2014 I-Pad that I disliked.
Tech savvy folks may have a totally different take on the functionality but if you’re a part time user the product is worth a try.
Good quality keyboard and I love the different viewing angles. I recently upgraded my ipad mini and tried to purchase another Snugg 360 case but it was all sold out for the ipad mini 4. I settled for a case without a keyboard but found that it would fall over when reading in bed or watching shows, so I figured I would need to invest in another laptop type keyboard case. This one is perfect. It is much lighter than the snugg and I love that it comes with two difference case sizes since I own both sizes of the minis. I do agree with other users that the latch to close the keyboard is very difficult to open but I knew that going in so I was prepared. The metal bar underneath the case is also very difficult to pull out, I had to use a butter knife to pry it open but I just leave it out and use it as a carrying handle when Im transporting the ipad. Huge fan of this product. Best part was that it was way cheaper than the snugg. Love that the screen flips all the way around when i do not want to use the keyboard and just use it as a normal ipad.
Great keyboard cover and fantastic customer service (I had one tiny issue which they ever so promptly rectified.). I have one of these for my regular iPad. Then I got the iPad Mini 4 and had to get one for it as well. Love love love the product!

Setup took 3min ,paring was instant, works well with my ipad 4 mini, easy access to charging port, power buttn and volume buttons...Overall 5 stars
Note regarding some bad reviews:
For love of god, this case is made out of plastic, not iron...if you drop it, it may break,it is your fault, not manufactures...even if it breaks,it will still protect ipad.....tssss
Really like the case but I use this in my lap 90% of the time and have found that it is quite top heavy due to the screen being so high. even with the bar extended it wants to fall backward. Other than that it seems a quality product but I will be looking for one that will not be so top heavy.
I use my IPad a lot for work and this makes typing sooo much easier. It’s not made for rugged use, so don’t expect this to be protective case. Battery life is good too, havent had an issue with it dying on me suddenly. The only thing I dont like is, it doesn’t pair automatically. It’s annoying, but i can live with that. I like it a lot and would recommend this to people looking for a keyboard to use with their iPad. Battery hasn’t
easily pops out of case when adjusting. not good.
I purchased two of these, one for my iPad 2017 9.7 inches and one for my sisters iPad mini 4 and we love them. They make our iPads secure, easy to transport, and great to use.
