WODFitters Stretch Resistance Pull Up Assist Band with eGuide, 4 Band Set

I have a squat rack that has a pull up bar attached, but as big as I am it's impossible for me to do a single pull up.

Based on the positive reviews, I purchased the strongest one (blue), me being a solid 250lbs.

What I did was loop it around the top bar and tried it with my knee at first which was pretty hard...then I nervously put my foot in the loop and stood in it. That was the sweet spot!

Not only did it hold me while stretched out...I was able to do 2 sets of 6 reps of chin ups! ....Is this not every mans dream since grade school when they humiliate you in front of everyone trying to do the pull up test?

I'm so excited to be able to add pull ups to my workout routine. It's one of the best exercises on the planet.

So, do yourself a favor. Stop reading reviews. Buy the strap you think will work for you...and then get to work!

I love it! I got the green band. I am a 5' 4" female who weighs about 130 pounds, and without it I couldn't do a pull up or chin up on my own. With the green band I am able to do 5 chin ups. I have a doorway mounted chin up bar, so my legs aren't all the way straight. That's no problem though, I bend my knees a little, strap the green band around my knee and do the chin up. It works great. The band helps me do the chin ups, but I'm still definitely working hard, it doesn't do the chin up for me (I was sore the next day!). I plan to work my way up to doing about 15 chin ups in a row, then I'll go down to the purple band, then black, then red, then hopefully I'll be able to do some unassisted chin ups! I highly recommend this product.

I purchased these bands (black, purple, blue) specifically for out of town travel, as lightweight quick workout alternatives to looking for a local gym. There are several videos online showing excellent uses for these bands to add some weight to bodyweight pushups, squats, front squats, overhead presses, arm exercises and even deadlifts. The blue band is large and it's a beast. Unless you're a regular squatter and deadlifter (not necessarily powerlifter level, but if you regularly do these two lifts), I'd suggest something smaller. I tested them over the past couple of weekends during a home based workout and they are FAR superior to the surgical tubing types (of which I have had a snap or two). I also purchased locally a door jamb holder for additional exercise choices like pull throughs, standing chest presses.

I got the blue band as I am about 220 lbs and just starting to get back in shape. Normally I can barely do 1 pull up. I already had a pull up assistance kit from Dicks but it only had 3 red bands which at my level would only allow me to do 2-3 reps max. With the help of this band I can do about 5 good pull ups with good form. Then I add 3 red bands and get 10 more reps in. Helps me get very good muscle failure with good form. Very motivating.

So far so good; I place the black one around the two handles on my pullup bar, I grab onto both sides of the rubber band, pull it down to one of my feet, push my foot to the floor and place my other foot in (so both feet are inside the rubber band), and then I do pullups with the bar behind my back trying to do the same motion as the pull-down exercise for traps. I am concerned about the black rubber band breaking and snapping me; I hope it doesn't do that; I'll post a comment here if it ever does.

I love this product because it was just the right amount of assistance to help me begin doing pull-ups and chin-ups. I weigh 125 pounds. However after only nine months it snapped. It was in a protected covered area the entire time so I was very disappointed at how short of a life it had. After only nine months it snapped. The good news is when WODfitters found out that it broke they replaced it at no cost. That’s a terrific company!

These are the best quality I've used, including elite fts, again faster and rogue. 1/19/2018. Update: I have now had this bad boy for over a year and I use at least five days a week, usually seven, and usually more than once a day for pull up assistance, stretching, etc. My wife and friends also use it from time to time and my kids are constantly playing with it and it has ZERO wear and tear. No de-lamination, nothing other than the logo rubbing off. Forget rogue, elite, whatevs. These are awesome.

These are amazing! I haven't worked out in a long time, I mean its been years and I live to far from a gym so I watched videos on youtube about these as I needed something to help me workout at home because I don't have much room for various machines. I have been working out doing full body workouts with these every 3 days and eating right and I am seeing HUGE progress in building muscle and burning fat (I had some belly fat and my arms had almost no tone before) I often look at my arms and feeling my flatter stomach with abs starting to show (I do planks not sit ups). I also bought a pull up bar for the door and use the green one to assist me but make sure you do full chin ups/pull ups because the resistance is stronger when its stretched and it helps a little to much at the start of the pull and then there is no resistance at the top. These should be included in everyone's routine no matter how old you are. Also you should buy the pack of 4 because different workouts will be easier or harder depending on what your doing. They are also great for putting behind your back and doing resisted pushups!! I've been working out 3 weeks and have great progress already. 5 stars!

I bought the purple band because a physical therapist recommended using a closed loop band attached to a strong post to stretch my hip joint. He used a 50 pound tension band when I worked with him, and I think the purple band is close. The band needs to "give" a bit when holding, which this does. The band is strong enough that I don't worry at all about it breaking.

To be clear, the picture shows multiple bands, but each is ordered and priced individually.

I freaking love these bands. I have been using them in conjunction with my free weights and I feel like it's really helped strengthen my tendons. Throw some of these in your suitcase when traveling and you have your own little gym. Go on YouTube and look up band exercises, you'll find plenty of good info on how to use these bad boys. I actually bought some "cable handles" for these and tie them to each end, so it's like a makeshift resistance tube. Sorry, it's hard to describe but works amazing. Great for bicep, tricep, shoulder, chest, etc. exercises.
