We got this as a great Cyber-Monday deal and got a 3-pack for our family for $79. I definitely recommend waiting for a special but for those with negative reviews, remember, this is a tablet for under $30 (if you get the special). I think people have expectations that it will act like their $500 iPad. IT WON'T! Yes, there are ads. Yes, the battery life could be better. BUT we bought this to use for travel, especially overseas. If this one gets stolen, falls down a mountain or gets wet and dies, then it's a $30 loss and not a $500 loss. That alone makes it worth it for us.
Absolutely love these tablets. I currently 2 and just bought another one for myself because my kids always steal mine. Of course they're not HD, but for the amount of money, you just can't beat this little tablet. I love that you can add storage with a card, and the tablet is pretty quick and doesn't lag. Thus will be the 3rd year in a row that I've bought one thanksgiving weekend. I just can't pass up this great deal!
This is a FANTASTIC deal for devices which, having had them for a year now, have performed extremely well for the money. We thought this would be a huge downgrade for our kids from the iPads and these have been just perfect and for the price on Prime Day? WOW. You will not regret it and you will not find a better value anywhere else.
While it's not a deal breaker, I was a bit disappointed that a tablet in 2018 and 2019 does not have GPS feature. I mean come on. Any cheaper basic Chinese tablet these days has got a GPS. This is the basic standard these days. Come on Amazon. I heard your Fire Tablets are GPS capable, you just haven't activated the feature for some unknown reason. Whether this is true or not. We need GPS in our tablets, just because it is the basic standard these days!
This has been an awesome device, aside of phone, laptop, and other devices. Great as a backup! I purchased these in the past, 4 at a great savings. One for my wife, daughter, granddaughter, and myself. Some have gone missing, and I'm looking to purchase me some more, as gifts, or as extra's. One of these took the place the place( several years ago ) of an old i-pod 2 ( without a camera ) I kept by easy chair for quick checks. Both ensconced in bulletproof cases they offered cheap quick access for most purposes. They just ran a $29.99 sale on these so with a cheap case from china on the bay ( 4 to 6 week delivery but some low-ball deals ) you are good to go. Let the young relatives enjoy or give to a friend on impulse these are what they are -- use and enjoy or smash with a hammer these are definitely not an Apple product but for the price quite the deal. I do have a Surface and Chromebook but this is handy and with rubber Poetic brand case Indestructible.
I personally have 5 kindles, my 1st was a wi-fi reader. Then a 1st generation fire. Then a 6, a 7 and my newest 1 a 8" firer. I love all of mine. I have bought one for each of my 4 Granddaughters and 1 for a friend. I am a fan of kendles.
I love this fire 7. I bought it for my Granddaughter and it wasn’t good enough for her, I have a I pad so I thought i’ll Use it. I love it 😊 I will use it and not the I pad it is fast-the battery life is great-it’s light - and it has Elena. I would buy one again!
